    Default ACT question

So I have "include absorbs as heal" checked(by default, pretty sure), but my question is who gets the credit for the absorbs? If I have a shield proc on someone else, does it show up in the parse as their healing out or will it show up as mine?

I see me getting "uknown/absorbed" but I'm unsure if that's just what my procs on myself are or if that includes every time it procs on someone else

Whoever the shield goes on gets the credit. its down to the way the combat log tracks them.

You can check it by running puri in a 5 man, watch the tanks HPS beat yours :P

afaik its not possible to track who casted/procced the absorb

its just listed as selfheal for the person it was casted/procced on

you can manually check every person in the raid and check the value of each unknown/absorbed
if youre the only person running frozen deep one tear for example you could add every 564 absorb cause theyre most likely all yours

It would be nice to run an ability redirect based on the amount absorbed, but that doesn't work either. The way the logfile tracks the absorbs is annoying for sure.

Ah, ok, so the 3-4% absorb I'm seeing under my name is just the procs on myself? Essentially confirming that shield trinkets/greaters are the way to go.

I really hope someone comes up to a solution to this. It's frustrating to see people dump on your hps as a purifier, but more to the point I want to be able to to tell how good or bad I'm doing.
