    Default Instant Adventure, Why?

Tried this for the first time today on one of my 50's. Was running around for a bit over 2 hours in stillmoor and shimmersand.

Result: 4 Inscribed Sourcestones, from random invasions found during travels to next instant adventure circle on the map.

What on earth would make me want to do that again?

Rift is an awesome game in many other regards though, it has no equal.

You must have not paid attention to the other inscribed drops from the quests. As long as you were doing the quests, you likely got a number of inscribed stones and even PA experience from IA.

The inscribeds do not get put in a rift bag, they're auto looted to your currency.

Well for geared level 50's who don't really need source stones, it's probably not that beneficial. However, it is beneficial for others. Also you normally get 1 source stone for each completed objective/quest. Also you could do them simply for the PA experience which is pretty good.

It's also great experience for level 45+ who may be looking for an alternate way of leveling besides questing.

I had 0 when I begun because I just bought a lesser essence for 50 inscribed. The amount I got was what I had when I was done with it all. All of which I got from the random invasions. I also got a couple thousand planarite from protecting the wardstones, dont know exactly how much though.

in two hours ive easily had over 20 source stones and at least one level of planar attunement.
also they are really good for getting your notoriety in Shimmer and Stillmoor completed, now if only they had these for IPP.
can also find alot of artifacts and get your harvesting up as well doing the instant adventures.

    so basically.. money money money

Yes I saw other people getting them, I was doing most dps in group according to simplemeter and was spamming aoe-arrows on all packs when not clicking quest-stuff. I died twice.

I really still need the sourcestones though, guess I will be getting them from ember isle instead now.

I just take it as there was some sort of bug then, it's not very important there are still lots of other things to do ingame. I was doing the instant adventure with a friend and he got like 25 stones or so. We tried requeuing because of I didnt get anything from the quests and that's why we played in shimmersand also.

I did these while leveling and got from 45-50 in just a few hours. Some awesome xp to be had plus all the extra stones and stuff you get along the way. They are definitely worth doing if you want to switch up the way you level. I cant speak from a lvl50 perspective since i haven't did them sense but im sure it would be worth your while.

Two hours? What were you doing? I get my quest from the NPC in Sanctum that gives me 3 Inscribed for doing 7 of them a day, que up, get teleported to wherever in about 10 seconds and start killing / collecting. It takes me less than 20 minutes to do all 7 Instant Adventures (usually picking up another 5+ Inscribed), hit my recall (which is Sanctum), turn in the quest and get another 3 Inscribed.

In less than 20 minutes per character, I get 10+ Inscribed, some loot, and a fair amount of XP.

The xp and inscribed rate aren't great, but they aren't bad either. Considering it takes zero preparation and planning, zero wait, and is so easy that you don't even need to pay attention.

I average 6 Inscribed per day doing the Instant Adventure quest.

When they first came out they were awesome - you'd instantly get into a huge group and rampage through zones. Lots of people - lots of mobs - lots of xp - lots of fun.

The enjoyment scales proportionately to the number of people playing.

Yeah. Make sure you're getting rewards if you're going to be at it for a while. Sometimes it bugs and you don't get anything; just leave the adventure and rejoin so all the loots will roll in.
