    Before I post, let me say I am GM of a guild in 1/11 in HK. Were not "Super Hardcore" but we do love to raid, and for being a more relaxed guild were pretty damn far.


    However... We getting the stub on HK.

    We don't have a "Set Core for 20 players" that raid every single time. I would say about 14-15 that are at almost every raid.

    As for the rest there spread out. IE: Won't be here for one raid, then there the next.

    Our biggest problem is that our other classes are not getting geared up... at all.

    We have a few rogues or something that need a DPS weapon, or a warrior in need of a 2H. etc.

    Drop rates are fail.

    We did GSB Yesterday, and a few bosses is ROS.

    Not one weapon dropped short of the relic from LGS and a Cleric Staff from Duke.

    And on top of it all. . . 66% was ALL cleric gear.

    We had 3 melee items. A belt, a Ring (I think) and a chest piece.

    Three melee items out of a possible 21 drops.

    We had 3 Mage Items. (Ring from GSB, Relic, and an off hander)

    I don't think any plate dropped what so ever

    and had 2? Rogue tank items. (One from GSB trash)

    that is 7 items non cleric.

    14 for cleric.

    Guess where all the cleric belt went?

    Trashed, completely wasted, runebroke, done, vamos!


    I could understand that in the beggining ros and gsb was new and the RNG was okay because that is all there was.

    But with the release of HK, I feel part of my guild is getting shafted due to RNG of loot drops.

    Implement a smart looting system.

    IE: When the loot drops, maybe let 1 item be random and the remaining 2, have it simply scan everybody's gear and drop what is needed - at LEAST in the 10 mans and GSB/ROS. And when "HK" is old news, then implement it into HK.

    Also as for the "Randomness" of the damn cleric drops. I am not computer illiterate. I know it is technically impossible for a computer to do a 100% random pull. So fix your formulas or whatever you use to pull gear because they suck something fierce.

    The gear system fails because the way cleric class works.

    Mage just needs 1 set for everything.
    Rogue needs 2 sets for everything
    Warrior needs 2 sets for everything
    Cleric needs 3 sets for everything

    so using that as a basis out of 8 possible class needs
    Cleric 3/8 = 37.8% chance of drop
    Mage 1/8 = 12.5% chance of drop
    Warrior 2/8 25% chance of drop
    Rogue 2/8 25% chance of drop

    To help fix the disparity in loot DPS/Heal cleric loot should be combined into 1 set that would give drops

    Cleric 2/7 28.5% of drop
    Mage 1/7 14.2% of drop
    Warrior 2/7 28.5% of drop
    Rogue 2/7 28.5 of drop

    I know there are tons of loopholes and this is just a generalization.

    Yep even as a cleric I agree with this because it's a pain lugging around 4 sets of gear in your bags.

    Count the # of tanks vs dps in raids. Now balance loot on that. Also get rid of healing only cleric gear. It is pointless.

    they want you to bring more clerics to raids cause clerics are the bestest!

    With the upcoming stat changes, they should be able to merge cleric loot to bring it down to 2 sets.

    Also, having 0 focus gear is lame.

    Yeah from all our RoS and GSB clears we have seen:

    1 rogue dagger
    2 mage staffs
    1 cleric tank mace
    3 cleric healing staffs
    4 cleric wands
    2 cleric totems
    2 cleric one hand

    It is really getting old. I will never see my Aegis of Souls or Noxious Maul =(

    Hey be glad you haven't had the luxury of downing 3 new bosses and every one of them dropping a cleric tank shield.... >_>;

    Agree with the post, especially for GSB/ROS. Gearing up for you guys has been made alot harder, with the marks of ancesions now instead of the token gear.

    We've been trying to gear up some players who need a bit more gear (weapons mainly) but the RNG just makes it terrible.

    eh, in dh we have had almost nothing but warrior plate drops/1h weapons, GP has been a little more even

    Unfortunately, there will never be a Smart loot system for Rift due to the Dev's making some items hybrid based.

    Relics should be token based like old school Glyphed or new Hexed items, kill LGS, Alsbeth or Arkilyos and get a Relic Token that can be handed in for what ever weapon you want imho.

    This kills the rng and puts the Relics where they should go instead of having to destroy them because no one wants them.

    What good is a Relic if you have to destroy it? Not so relicy...

    I wish this would happen, a dev response on it would be nice.
