I dunno...I mean did you guys actually raid this hardcore in WoW?

WoW was a LOT worse in terms of buggy content...

How long was Major Domo bugged?

    How long was C'thun Bugged?

How many guilds wall hacked through the first boss of AQ to find a non-scripted C'thun/loot pinata only to get ban hammered.

I mean...you guys are so far ahead of any guild aside from SO/Voodoo/Addiction it's almost given that you'll run into bugs.

My only concern about Hammerknell at this point is the actual longevity it can provide for the raiding body of RIFT. It's simply too difficult for most guilds.

    How long before RIFT dies?

I do 110% agree about loot/itemization though. Wtf were they thinking when they created half of the stuff from Hammerknell?

    God only knows.

I mean...I know HK was probably slightly rushed as are all things, but did the devs complete forget how bad GSB/ROS was for so long? I thought a similar mistake wouldn't be repeated, but yea..

I agreed with most things after the first main paragraph. Although we aren't that far into HK, have raided multiple other MMO's to know that front runners always run into tons of bugs, every MMO has them they are unavoidable and the changing of events is unavoidable as well since leaving them in the current state (if it isn't the desired difficulty) is not acceptable either. If you can't handle tons and tons of buggy content that requires hotfixes and changed events maybe raiding in that type of guild isn't for you, nothing wrong with that...i'm done raiding 5+ nights a week for 4-5 hours a night because of similiar reasons, it gets tiring.

Retribution was so far ahead of everyone else in WAR that they were killing final bosses that were nothing but wireframe models.

RIFT is at least on par with many MMO's, and better than most.

I hate to keep posting but I think it's easier to read without it being a massive wall of text.

That being said, and I've mentioned this before, RIFT has been a game of "extremes" as one of my raiders put it.

He's 100% correct in this analogy.

    How so?

Look at Tier 2's. Super Hard, to Super nerfed.

Look at GSB/ROS - Super stupid easy.

Look at GP - Super Stupid Hard (at first) then Stupid Easy.

Look at DH - Super Stupid Easy

Look at HK - Super Stupid Hard/Easy depending on which bug you get per week per boss.

All things functioning perfectly and HK is a super hard dungeon.

There's simply no middle ground for RIFT right now, which is hurting its future IMO.

I do agree with this completely, when they change stuff they go from one extreme to the other, would be better to make more small changes than sweeping huge nerfs/buffs (mostly nerfs).

    TLDR

Its like the kid that builds his RC car wrong and then cries when it doesn't work.

Maximation alpha tested this dungeon, there's no doubt that a better job of exploring bugs and giving constructive feedback could have resulted in a better product.

We were turned down for testing.

In fact, we weren't even given consideration to my knowledge.

We had 20+ on at all times during Beta...GG.

Just like all the constructive feedback the devs took from Addiction alpha testing GSB and RoS right ;P Those dungeons still have the same broken mechanics. (We didn't test 80% of HK sorry folks they knew what would happen if they allowed us to)

When they are all broken that would lead me to believe the devs ignored what was said to be fixed. You don't have to take my word for it, look at GSB and RoS. You were not there so obviously you don't have a clue.

There's nothing wrong with GSB or RoS.

You don't consider lgs plants spawning in meridian and killing people each time someone who just killed lgs ports home to be wrong?
