    Default Anyone done raid rift: The Golden King?

    What happens in it? What strategies did you use? Google has nothing, or I'm bad at finding it.

    First phase we usually just sap the adds and pull the big guy solo

    One of the phases he has a aoe that melee has to back out of

    Last phase he has an add that will spawn when boss is almost dead, then more after he dies.

    other than that I remember nothing significant that would help you.

    Phase 1:
    Kill the Big guys only. Little guys are easily tanked with them, however people shouldn't AOE as they pretty much will kill whoever they run to.

    Phase 2:
    3? Rock guys spawn. Group up a bit as they charge random people, they cast a reflect shield of some sort occassionally IIRC otherwise just burn them

    Phase 3:
    He randomly shoots raid members so a good amount of healing has to be done. Otherwise DPS him, and destroy the shrines he spawns (they decrease damage done to him)

    Phase 4:
    2 Big rock guys, that split to 2 Smaller rock guys, that split again.... After the first split those guys can become enraged and do a bit of damage. The final split, the little guys are untauntable so they just run around attacking whoever.

    Note with this phase: Try to stay near the center of the rift. The little guys sometimes randomly run off for some reason resetting this phase.

    PHase 5:
    Kill Big guy. Melee needs to move out during his AOE Smash. He releases one of the 4 golems that need to be killed (each one up decreases damage done to the boss). The little golems do a knockback that feels like a threat drop at times. Any golems not released once boss is dead come active and need to be killed.

    Pretty easy rift really.

    Phase 1: Recommend CCing the adds and focus DPS on the Slave Driver. Have a tank quickly pick up any adds that aren't CCed. Once the Slave Driver is killed the adds will run away.

    Phase 2: Use more tanks if needed. These adds will teleport and memory wipe (wipe all threat on their lists) so tanks will have to taunt it when they do. Expect a few causalities.

    Phase 3: Boss attacks random people and can crit (resulting in an instant kill on players without toughness gear). Just heal through it. Will periodically spawn foothold looking things that need to be DPSed down as they do damage (can be tanked) and increase the bosses damage and reduce damage the boss takes.

    Phase 4: Similar to the Death Rift, this add will split into two other adds as you kill each one. Have tanks seperate them and focus on little adds one at a time, the final little adds will attack random targets and be immune to threat abilities, but can be kited and don't hit very hard.

    Phase 5: Boss roots the tank and does an AoE melee needs to run out of or they'll die. Keep big heals on the tank. Have your offtank pick up adds when he releases them and focus on killing those adds first as they hit hard and put a buff on the boss that reduces his damage taken. When the boss dies he'll release a few more adds, so have tanks pick them up quickly or they will run around one shotting non-tanks.

    We think we have found one reason the little untauntable guys can run out of the rift. If you respawn at a GY they seem to aggro on your ghost.
