    Default Rebalance Raid Loot Distribution

The amount of loot each class receives from raid bosses appears to be proportional to the number of different roles they can play in the raid based on the token gear sets instead of the number of players actually in the raid.

The result is that there is significantly more rogue, cleric, and warrior gear in the game that mage items and they drop far more frequently. For example, while it may appear to make sense to include the same amount of cleric tank gear as mage gear in the game so that both roles are evenly geared the end result is that you have five under-geared mages and 1-2 ridiculously geared cleric tanks along with 3-4 reasonably well geared cleric healers.

A quick check of the Xanadu item database (admittedly incomplete) reveals that ignoring token gear there the following numbers of epic items for each class:

    Mage: 56
    Cleric: 113
    Rogue: 102
    Warrior: 103

Obviously off-spec gear is needed in the game, but the way it is currently randomized on raid encounters is disproportionately high and assumes that all warriors will need both a DPS and a tank spec, all clerics will need a tank and a healing spec, and so forth, which is never actually borne out in a raiding environment.

Please give us equal rewards for our time Trion!

Agreed. The loot distribution issue is frustrating in any guild that runs with 5 or more mages. As a short term fix, perhaps Trion could just increase the # of tokens that drop...that would help out a bit.

    Class Based != Spec Based.

How many DPS Warrior Items are there to DPS Cleric Items to DPS Rogue items to Mage items?
    Same for tank...

Clerics having 3 sets of gear I am all for dropping down to 2 though ;)

so a tanking rogue has the same amount of gear as a mage, because we only really have one set. While the ability to play multiple roles is important, more often than not people tend to stick to one thing in raids. So basically, on average, if you have 1/3 of a t3 set, then a rogue, for example, has 2 separate sets 1/3 complete. Doesn't seem so unfair. In our guild, mages are by far the best geared out of any other class(4 genesis pylons, the orange mage sword, and 3-6 glyphed pieces). Try talking to your raid leader, and try to get them to understand your point, glyphed gear is more often the best chance mages have a gearing up.

My guild seens 3-4 rogue weapons drop per week, generally, 3-5 mage items and the DPS warriors are left drowning and all get the greenscale quest item since not a single weapon has dropped for them in 3 weeks. it's all RNG and you adapt.

I giggle when cleric tanking gear drops on progression kills... or at all. Keeps our sharders busy inbetween pulls though.

I have to agree. With us using the same gear whether we dps, chloro, or archon, it seems like other classes' gear drops double compared to ours since they have a chance for a cleric heal/dps item or a cleric tank item.

There seems to be just way too many belts dropping. Seriously, GSB trash drops a million of them, and then every boss has 1-2 belts on them, including RoS.

Also, cleric tank loot is lols. IMO, do what blizzard did with feral druids and create a talent that converts dps points into mitigation.

I'm starting to put together a cleric tank set as a warrior because all the clerics in my guild (none of which actually tank in raids) have it already.

Typically for our guild, which runs a form of suicide kings DKP, mages will almost ALWAYS spend their DKP on something, where the other three classes never want anything, because they know that something will drop for them. We seriously usually spend half an hour trying to get rogues/warriors/clerics to take the loot.

The way cleric loot drops in raids is a complete and utter joke. Raids need 3-4 clerics IF that some encounters and yet for some reason we see on average 40-60% loot be cleric. I honestly thought we just had horrible luck until now.

No one runs cleric tanks, but a while back everyone was whining "oh the itemization is terrible, there's no cleric tank loot in dungeons." So there you go. 50 pieces of useless loot. We have no issue with handing out loot since it's pretty obvious each week which class is getting shafted. Although with every fight so far seemingly being a DPS race of some sort, it's a wonder there's not more cleric healing gear compared to tank.

Cleric healing and dps is the same armor and stats. Theres no "Cleric DPS gear" or "Cleric Healing gear". Theres gear with Focus and gear with Toughness. What do you think that means?

Cleric gear that was meant for healing has 0 focus on it but substantially more of other stats (usually spell power). Cleric dps gear NEEDS focus. Cleric tank gear obviously has endurance base / block stats on it.

Yes you can heal as a cleric in Focus gear to save yourself having to swap gear, but the way the game is itemized, they created another set of gear with no focus to maximize healing when in reality, the stats on healing gear isnt that much better than dps gear (for healing anyways). Clerics have 3 sets of gears for 3 different objectives. Mages have 1 set of gear for 2 different objectives.
