    Default 2nd boss in DSMx

hey guys...so on 2nd boss in expert DSM, once we are killing channelers....and once we get onto the 3rd channeler, boss starts shooting healer instead of tank....ofc we try aggroing boss, and keeping tank on boss during that phase, but hes immune.....is it just cause we dont kill channelers fast enough?

Your tank isn't drawing enough aggro while the boss is active to last him during the inactive stages. If you all are having this sort of issue, you should have him spam hate skills as much as possible to make sure he's built up enough for the inactive stages.

This sounds more like the boss is casting "death blast" right after last add dies. Also sometimes he bugs out and casts in during channeling phase

Have your tank build more threat

    Three things you can do:

    A) Tank generates a lot more threat on the boss before the immune phase comes, spam highest threat moves they have and use any threat boosts they have straight away.

    B) Tank looks into switching to a more magical reduction build to lower the damage he takes during immune phase, thus resulting in less healing needed, and less threat generated by healer

    C) Healer gets some anti-threat tools such as the trinket that lowers your threat on all enemies.

    D) DPS betters themselves so they can kill the channelers faster, resulting in less time spent in the immune phase, and less healing threat.

Necrotic Wounds as much as possible. Discharge every 10 pacts.

    Weakening Essence everytime it's up.
    Infestation every time it's up.
    Imposing.
    Intercept the highest DPSer.
    Have your sabs Incriminate you.

one of the war tanks in my guild has a threat buff he puts on the healer so any healing threat generated is transferred to the tank

He'd be better off if he told a DPS player that he was going to put it on them so they could pop cooldowns and do as much damage in 6 seconds as possible.

Also, having a saboteur to incriminate once (or twice if your DPS is slow) each phase helps.

Different numbers of healers/DPS can work too. If you have one healer, he's going to be doing a lot of healing and thus generating a lot of threat. If you have a DPS mage or cleric who isn't doing as much DPS as your other DPSers, have them go healer/chloro so the healing aggro gets spread between two characters. You'll kill the channelers slower but you'll end up having almost twice as long in each immune phase before one of the healers passes the tank on the aggro table, and your tank will have more time during each non-immune phase to build more threat.

Simple solution. Kill add when it comes out before the three adds. Then do more dps on adds so healer's heals dont pull aggro while boss is immune.

This seems to be the reason why the healer is dieing, it seemed like he would bug out like this after the 2nd add died. The best solution we came up with was to burn down one add, then split the dps on the 2 other adds and try to kill them at the same time. Didn't have a problem with him after that.
