Default Zor: Are we really getting a 10-man raid? /hug

Patch notes are a bit ambiguous, but it appears a ten man raid might be going live in 1.2. I haven't been able to find any info about it at all out there in the cloud. Is this going to be an actual dungeon or more an instanced raid rift?

If it were an actual instance, I would be ecstatic.

If it's a 10-man raid rift... yay, more public crap for our Defiant counterparts to grief? =/

    WTB instanced 10-man raid content.

It says it's an instance in the patch notes.

My dungeon experiences and builds as a 2h Cleric tank are posted on my blog. All T1 and most T2 expert dungeons complete.

I've also posted the coordinates for all exploration achievements on my website (redesign in the works): http://tehkrizz.net/RIFT/exploration.php

It is an instance, worry not. And you get another 10 man raid rift to boot .

No, why would something that required HALF as much coordination and only 10 people on the same page instead of 20 reward you with the same tier of item? It should be between t2 and GSB.

And here goes.... less isn't easier its just less...

Hardest part for many of us about 20 mans is getting 20 people.

Both, raid instance and there are two new raid rifts and one new expert rift all on the alpha shard. Now no guarantee it will all go live, but there you go.

You gotta farm 25k planarite on the PTS to unlock it though right?

The 10 man RAID instance should be the same as a RAID rift for difficulty and reward wise.

Why is that. Why can't small guilds have their dungeons and large guilds have their thing? Clerics and rogues shouldnt tank..oh wait....

    Just to play devil's advocate:

The less people you have in a group, the more individual contribution each person makes to the outcome. If one person is not pulling their weight in a 20 man raid, the overall effect on the group can be negligible, whereas it is more noticeable in a 10 man raid, and overtly obvious in a 5 man party. So, unless the 20 man content is unforgiving of a single player's poor performance (which there are obviously instances of this that occur), the truly better reflection of an individual player's skill will come in a smaller group environment, and thus there is merit to providing equal quality loot to players in less than 20 man raids.

The overall content is not immediately more difficult because more people are involved.
