Default 5 Mans converted to raids

    1. You will not lose XP
    2. You will not lose out on loot
    3. Appease your healer..

Some macros, like mouseover, work better if the UI is set to a Raid

Im amazed people dont know this
    PVP is the end-game!
    Decap - 38 rogue Deepstrike(g)
    Konga - 50 warrior Deepstrike(d)
    Renics - 43 Cleric Deepstrike(g)
    Kinetics - 50 Mage Deepstrike(g)

Yes and if people don't understand this at level 50, that's awfully sad.

It also make keeping track of what role everyone is in much easier.

I hate when a healers ask this because I cant see their mana, nothing major just slightly annoying. They say it makes it easier to see the debuffs but knowing most fights I can see the debuffs just fine in normal party mode. Also party frames are huge, the @mouseover works fine on their avatars.

So I do it for them, I just do not understand the huge advantage.

    - everyone's UI is different if they've adjusted it at all from the default. What you see on your screen may not be how your healer sees it.

    - raid UI is compact. When you're busy dispelling the distance you move your mouse can be a factor, it's obviously quicker to move it half an inch than 3 inches. Also small movements are easier to do accurately.

    - mana recovery is very fast. Usually a healer can drink the moment the group kills the last mob and start healing 4 seconds into the next pull and regain full mana without stopping the group chain pulliing. Consequently unless the healer is new or the group is moving very fast it's rare we actually need to call for a mana break.

    - you can click the healer then look at his mana bar when he's your target. Some hotkey will probably do it also (f2-f5 defaults).

    - raid UI also shows aggro (the border flashes red)

is there a glitch or somthing that does not reduce the exp? not trolling just trying to hear why there isn't reduced exp even tho it says it on the raid menu.....

Edit Is it because theres still not over 5 ppl?

I'm a tank, but often with a cleric on mumble,
He doesn't really understand why some people wants to switch to raid mode (and so do I)

It's harder to keep track of your buff... With the standard UI you only see the buff you casted, in raid mode you don't.
And if you look at the target... hmm I have around 20 buffs up during an encounter, I can understand how it can be a problem to keep track of a specific one.

I'm not saying that you should never convert to raid mode while in a party, I just mean, that maybe if the tank doesn't want to switch it's because it's easier for the cleric... (no matter what the damn chloro says...) ;)

If I had to fight between the choice of losing a buff on someone else or having to split-reaction purge a debuff on someone, I`d rather the latter. If, after several dungeon runs and getting used to your character, you don`t know the "rough" estimate time when your buffs are going to disappear, then that`s likely to be a overall much poorer player than someone who knows it.

That`s not a L2Play statement, because the person who needs to manually check his buffs is no less a player than the person who knows it by heart. They just need a little bit more time.

But raid frames makes everything else easier. DPS can tell if they accidentally aoe overaggroed. The tank can tell if all threat is currently on him. Debuffs that appear can be instantly cleansed (And for some bosses that`s pretty important)
What`s not to love about raid frames?

This is my one and only complaint. I tank frequently, and just for peace of mind I want to know if I'm pulling when the healer's at 10% mana without having to click on their character pane, or if our caster dps is continually running dry.

Easier to see curses...gg. If you want to see mana just target them.

If you want to keep track of your healer's mana while using raid frames, just set your healer as your focus.

    Raid form > Normal

Im also a tank most healers prefer raid window anyways and i prefer it as well because of the aggro flashing. If for some reason i make a nasty pull i can see who has aggro and redirect the aggro to me accordingly.

My guild group was running to a dungeon one time when a member veered too close to a rift, and our group got turned into a raid (the leader had obviously forgotten to set it to private). I had never used the raid frames before in a 5 man, but instead of reforming, we just went with it. Now it's something I always request.

It's much more compact, much easier visually to see who is low on health, it shows aggro, it is significantly easier to see debuffs on...if there was some way to show my buffs, it would be perfect, but I'll take what it gives compared to what it takes away any day.

It also makes it so the healer can't see the AOE debuff on the pets like in CC. I'm amazed some people don't know this.
