    Default Rift Progression... Illustrated

    I decided to compile some information about Rifts progression. I took what they started over at www.riftbro.com and updated with useful information for people. Hope you all find it helpful.

    Do you actually need 100hit for T1s?

    No, same as you dont NEED 50 toughness. Just suggested values.

    Rift doesn't use a hard gating system (a la "radiance" from LoTRO, heroic keys from TBC WoW), just a soft gear based gating system.

    Then your diagram is misleading.
    As you can go into T1s with 0 hit :>

    I believe hit cap in T1 is 0 and hit cap in tier 2 is 100

    Thats wrong. The hit caps are what I listed in my diagram.

    I agree I didn't illustrate that you can "step inside" without meeting these requirements, but that doesnt change the fact that if you step into a T2 with little or no toughness and little or no hit, you will fail very soon.

    In any case, if the reader doesn't know how Rift does gating, whether it be forced requirements or not... the reader should understand based on the diagram that they either "cant get in" or "shouldn't go in".

    The one thing I would suggest is to list the tier dungeons in order of difficulty.

    Oh, and if you haven't raided Greenscale, you actually want more then 200 hit. 200 is the minimum.

    Indeed, 200 will still get you misses and dodges popping up.

    Need 44% (220) hit/focus for all your Greenscale's needs.

    It is not misleading as it says you "want" the specified hit rating, not that you "need" it.

    I thought about this, but there seems be to some wide ranging opinions on this matter.

    He's right....

    In t1 you will almost never miss as there isn't any cap needed. For t2 100+ is the suggested.
