    Soo...

    Huge dps check or what?

I know our dps isn't outstanding, prolly not even good... But we were literally killing the crystal RIGHT as the next one spawned...

    Warrior-Tank
    Cleric - Healer
    Mage - Hybrid
    Cleric - Ranged
    Rogue - Ranged

Just not geared or specced correctly?

yup cleric dps for that fight is grimey as heck unless they are in really good gear.

Plus Ranged rogue usually has to save cooldowns for when the healer gets crystal so his overall dps will be lower than normal.

Drop the cleric and get a dps warrior and collect plaques.

    Cleric - Ranged.

    There is your problem!.

Take a warrior of any spec..Even a tank can pull 450 DPS or so..

Get a champion and tell him to do a PvP rotation on the crystal..and you get the loot.

if your dps is infact really low, you can have your players get break free abilities, and immunity effects, pvp level 0 abilties will break through crystals, the warrior get out of stun ability will break you out, and rogues can slipaway right before its cast on them, and will be immune to the effects.

I'm not sure of ground of strength or whatever the mage ability is that doesnt let them be cced, but it might work too.

""Even a tank can pull 450 DPS or so..""

Maybe I'm the one doing ****ty dps...I average about 250 dps as a single target tank...

No but really, I'm assuming it just comes down to having 2 people at 500 dps each and a chloro at 250 dps while healing/dispelling.

the only remotely difficult dps check encounter in t2 expert is like Caretaker in DSM and that isnt saying much if u bring some 2 button macro wonder class.

Real lack of DPS it seems.

We usually run with Chloro & Cleric for heals and dispells, warrior tank and 2 dps of any kind. And just have the Chloro attacking the crystal as well. I'm always able to kill the crystal alone before another one spawns, if the other DPSer is crystalized. And with 2 on them, we have plenty of time on the boss after killing it.
To play safe, I prefer to accept only one type of power: the power of art over trash, the triumph of magic over the brute

Lol, we've cleared every t2 dungeon with an inquisitor. Who puts out around 600 single target dps.

We've cleared every dungeon T1 and T2 with:

    1 Warrior
    1 Cleric
    1 Cleric Melee dps
    1 Chloro
    1 Rogue

It's not the class - get him to find a spec that parses better

He's the exception, not the rule. The inquisitors we end up with are lucky to pass 300. Then again most DPS we find, of any class/spec does not perform all that well =\

Really? Our inq puts out about 600 but if the clerics do melee spec it's higher - usually exceeds 700+
Our rogues and warrior in dps specs put out really nice numbers 6-700+ minimum and now in T2 gear their numbers exceed that.

Our problem is Mages, but that's not the mages fault - they generally parse 500... 600 if they get good crits.

I'm not sure what your dps is doing - but good dps isn't hard to obtain.

They're not 'my dps'. They're whoever we find to pug 5 mans. I play with 2 friends, one of which is mage and has no issue doing 650 consistently as Pryo but on expert bosses he's typically chloro. We generally pug 2 DPS and so far we've found 3 people who do good dps, the rest have all been pretty poor.

Also, I know it's not hard but most people aren't that good and with a lack of information they don't even know it. I imagine most of them aren't aware how far behind they are in DPS until they run with us and I paste the parser results.

Simple math off the top of my head...

    17k hp on crystals.

    200 Dps from Chloro
    600x2 Dps from Actual Dps

    thats 1400 dps

Bout 12 seconds for a crystal to die, and they spawn every 20?

Except that DPS doesn't work that way. It's not like the crystals spawn and everybody is somehow magically in mid-rotation on them cranking away at full DPS.
