    Default T2 - AP: Bugged Renthar?

    Is anyone else having some reset issues with Renthar? He keeps resetting in the middle of the fight for us (we're all stacked on him more or less, so it's not a LoS / range issue).

    Still bugged, but we eventually got him....after a long freaking time.

    He reset once for us, we assumed it was because our healer dc'd midfight and got teleported to the entrance, thus resetting him, had no problems otherwise.

    if you get knocked back in the hallway he will reset. Also if he charges someone near the hallway he can reset

    From our testing, he seams to randomly charge players and pets. He also seams to charge dead people and dead pets which resets him. So keep your pets out of it and don't let anyone die.

    Resetting a LOT - I'd say almost randomly, but definitely if a player or pet he tries to charge is out of line of sight, he resets. He can try to target dead players/pets too, and if he happens to target them, he resets (so don't let anyone die). If you go near the hallway entrance, he'll reset.

    Quite often he'll reset ANYWAY - even with everybody alive in the middle of the room.

    We even saw him reset without aggro (while he's just stood on spawn point, he'll disappear then reappear).

    The way this fight works:

    If anybody dies, he resets. If anybody goes in the hallways, he resets. If a pet dies he resets. If you are knock backed into the hallway, he resets.

    A tank should tank Renthar on one end of the room and have an offtank(cleric with shield/1hworks great too) stand on the very other end. Renthar's mechanics are too charge the very farthest member and the tank. So you set this up correctly it is a ping pong fight and very easy.

    Stay out of the circle aoe on the ground by strafing left or right, do not move forward or backward. Renthar also has a cleave so nobody should be standing on the tank or with the off tank on the other end of the room.

    Can look something like this in terms of set up(rift forums ruined the spacing, but you get the point. Assembled in a diamond shape):
    * (Tank)

    * * * (Ranged, etc)

    * (Off Tank absorbing Renthar's charge)



    Please don't nerf more fights Trion.

    We actually got it in a similar manner after my last post - we didn't spot that a pet dying (or even being despawned by the owner in one test) also made it reset.

    Just on the "nerf" comment - surely a boss that resets (actually resets, loses aggro etc.) is NOT an intended mechanic - and thus "fixing" this would not be a nerf. Bosses that are meant to be "hard" when a player dies should have an actual mechanic - eg they make the corpse AOE explode for damage or heal off the corpses or enrage or something - no boss should "reset" during an otherwise normal fight - fixing that definitely wouldn't be "nerfing a fight", it would be fixing a clear bug

    How about you guys just not get charged...

    I find the fixes the whole reset problem entirely....

    How do we know the reset mechanic is not part of the fight? I think its a great mechanic. Promoting team work, good healing and coordination to keep everybody up.

    Just my two cents. Congrats on kill.
