Default Looking for Advice: Alpine Estate on Faeblight

I made this last year for the cozy cottage contest (thanks Feendish!) and I am thinking about doing some updates this year - I would love some input/ideas on ways to improve it!

    Thanks!

Well, I feel like parts of it are sort of cramped and hard to maneuver. If I were to cut out some of the rooms entirely, I could streamline the stairs so you don't have to jump so much (more RP friendly too). There are 2 baths, a shower, a sauna, etc. that seem rather excessive...but I kind of like the decadence.

Also, the food in the kitchen was made before they came out with feasts and such items, so in some ways I am attached to it, but in the mindset of reducing item count so I could fine-tune other areas it might make sense to ditch it. But not the gingerbread cookies! I love them how they are.

Well - i went in like you asked, looking for things to change...
I have to agree with above posts - no changes that I could see would result in a significant recovery of item count. I loved exploring all the little nooks and crannies of this cottage. The snowman snowglobe was cute.
My Advice? Leave it alone, enjoy it, and use your talents to make another DIM from scratch.

Well - thanks for the feedback!

I guess I expected people to tell me to tear things down. I should have realized that isn't in the character of this community.

You should be able to use the new invisible tiles to create smooth, easily navigable ramps on top of the stairs, keeping the visual intact but removing the bumpiness. If you would still like to keep some of the feel of the player going up stairs instead of a perfectly smooth ramp you can expose some of the stair edge but not enough to cause the stopping effect that requires jumping to overcome it.

I really like it just as it is, very charming and I agree with Zillaan, put your time into another new creation.

I also stopped by for a visit last week and I agree with the sentiments here. It's a wonderful and cozy cottage. It's a unique build and I wouldn't change anything.

Just start work on a new dimension and let the cottage rest.
