    Default Autumn Lodge: Greybriar

Several months ago, I planned out a series of seasonal dimensions, mostly in the vein of temples and sanctuaries. Dimensions being what they are, the themes for each has changed over the course of time. Spring became a chapel, Summer was formerly modeled after the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and is currently closed for remodeling, Winter is my entry for the fishing contest and now Autumn.

When I think of the fall, even more than Halloween, I think of Thanksgiving. Colorful foliage, crisp air, cool mornings that lead to warm afternoons.

I was really hoping the full moon projectors would be released as this one was being finished, but a water projector works for now...sort of.

A colorful path leads to the house: http://s1314.photobucket.com/user/Fe...ml?sort=3&o=11

    http://s1314.photobucket.com/user/Fe...tml?sort=3&o=1

Spacious grounds under an overcast sky shine with the colors of autumn (I'm fairly certain I spent more time layering bushes and trees than doing anything inside the house ): http://s1314.photobucket.com/user/Fe...tml?sort=3&o=3

    http://s1314.photobucket.com/user/Fe...tml?sort=3&o=0

The lodge awaits in warmth and comfort, with no modern conveniences: http://s1314.photobucket.com/user/Fe...tml?sort=3&o=8

I hope visitors enjoy their tour of the lodge, and feedback is always appreciated.

Thank you to Kaletros for the inspiration of the couches, I didn't try to copy them exactly, but I do very much like the way he has the green cushions with no rips sticking out.

Visited it today and it was breathtaking. I think of the same things you do about autumn, not so much Halloween, but of crisp air, colorful leaves, home, warmth and Thanksgiving. This dimension certainly grasps those feelings perfectly.

As always, great job with the windows and all the fabulous morphing. Kudos!
    Love the fireplace. ;)

Thank you for that idea! And I'm so sorry I forgot to mention it earlier. Maybe some day I'll "borrow" the coffee pot .

An excellent depiction of the warmth of home in the cold weather with all the earthy colors and oranges. I love the fireplace too (and I mean the one in the kitchen)! Oh and the mushroom on the wall : ) , very autumn-ish.
Which item did you use to make the fog patches, they look really natural.

I used the piles of pumpkins with fog, and pushed the pumpkins back into the bushes, since burying them underground made the fog disappear.

    Thank you for the compliments!

    Default So very beautiful...

Feendish, your dimensions never fail to take my breath away. I MUST learn to think outside the box the way you do! I especially loved your windows, those are just gorgeous....reminded me that "plain" wood doesn't always have to look plain!

And the price is definitely right with wood planks!

Thank you for the compliments. Houses and I have never been known to get along well, but I decided to change my tack from big and impressive to smaller and more comfortable. I went for detail with this one instead of a mass of stuff to see all over the place, and I think I like it better that way.

I like the premade windows, but texture was important to me with this build, and colors. Neutral and warm colors, a variety of textures. All those layered building blocks shot the item count through the roof, but it was worth it.

I thank everyone who has visited for the feedback and for taking the time to visit.

That's stunning, Feendish. What is that wood flooring? I keep seeing it and I have NO idea what it is. It's beautiful and rustic.

Greywood rectangles. I really like the looks of the greywood, and can't wait until they come out with planks and poles to match!

    Thank you!

Any chance you might be willing to post the Toolbox Item Sets for those windows over at RiftDimensionAddicts? I wouldn't try to copy them exactly because those are so wonderful and so uniquely yours..... but I can think of several uses for that lovely latticework, especially. I might be able to create that with toolbox, but I am not that proficient with it, and I'd probably tear my hair out trying!
