    Default Roof tips?

    right now i'm trying to put together a roof for my stair well.



    anybody got any ideas on how i should go about doing this?

    Sorry, I don't. I'm sticking to landscaping and odd stuff since I do not appear to have the ability to make a square and put a roof on it. Good luck! I have a feeling you'll figure it out before I do.

    You already have a good start on the wall to set the roof on, I'd say use metal triangles to fill in that space and place either roof pieces or rectangles along that slope.

    if only i could get the angle right
    is there a way to get the pitch and roll to move independently of each other?

    Is your staircase using its item placement grid? IE: have you rotated your stairs at all?
    If you have, then you've made heaps of extra work for yourself .. I'd set it again on the std grid, do the work you need (roof, walls, etc) then save the set in TBX (before rotation), and rotate it into position when all is complete - that way you won't have all that hassle with the pitch and roll for the roof.
