    Default New Dimension Function

    Hey guys,

I'm sure plently of you have thought about it so far but I think it would be a top idea if you could copy an item in your dimension have paste it somewhere else.

Because I don't know the amount of times I've wanted to build two planks the same length and thickness or walls and I've spent a good 5 minutes sizing it so they are the same. I think the copy feature would be so much easier.

Even if it was made so you had to have another same item in your bags I wouldn't mind that either.

    You can, ctrl d

Edit: to be clear as long as you have more of the item in your bag and you have the one you want to copy slected in the edit mode you can use ctrl d and it will copy it, you can then move it whever you want to.

There is also an addon that lets you duplicate multiple items. Very handy if you make unique items. For example a popular chair includes boxes and sandbags. Being able to save those and duplicate them at any time saves the creator a lot of time.

Yes Ctrl-D is my friend. The only disadvantage is you still have to rotate it to fit where you want, so if you are a stickler for symmetry you'll still be spending time trying to get it to work. Wish there was a /flip command or something lol.

The Dimension Toolbox addon allows you to rotate, move and scale an item using numbers instead of by hand, allowing for precise placement. This is great when building houses to keep floors and walls perfectly level. As Baian already mentioned, you can make item sets from multiple items and copy paste them (in this case, the items used must be placed in the dimension and all selected using shift+click.)
