Runecrafting issue (Can't break my own level items again!)
Mats seem to be in short supply. I am having friends send me greens to break, i break all my stuff i get from quests, all the stuff i get from making items from my artificer profession, i have even spent many platinum in the AH buying greens to break, and i still don't have enough mats to level up my runcrafting. I'm level 31 now, and lvl 142 runecrafting, and i can't break items my level now again so i have a ton of items building up in my bank... again. Don't get me wrong, i have a TON of mats, just not the right kind. I have over 100 mats in several of the shards, and maybe 1 or 2 in other, that just doesn't seem right. So i think there needs to be a fix in the proportion of which mats you get when you break items because at this point i think my only solution is to run around lower level areas to get greens and break. Anyone have any suggestions?

Suck it up like everyone else and go outfitting/butchering and have people give you all of their silk. Then go aoe grind (or just normal grind) mobs for butchering. There are lots of weak hitting, easy to kill mobs that give leather...
So, grind out leather and have everyone send you their cloth and then create items to runebreak. The lower tier items only give the base powders and junk so it's a pain, so you'll need to level outfitting a bit before you're getting decent shards from runebreaks.. but this is the easiest way to go, especially since leather/cloth are so easy to come by.
The tone of your post really isn't helping you know.

I've been farming a ton of Wool as it's fast and easy. Then I go back and make like 100 items and break them all.
But like they said, farming materials just for the sake of breaking them is pretty much the way to go. If you can have people feed your materials/greens that is a very nice perk.
Agreed, that is what I'm doing too. I do wish I could also runebreak runes, much like you can salvage armor, to get some of the materials back. With runecrafting taking so much in materials to advance, it's disheartening to see the low prices on the auction house. For those runes that don't sell well, I would like to have another option rather than just vendoring them.
Interesting idea and it does make sense really. It would be nice to have.

runecrafting is easy to level I do mining/runecrafting/weaponsmith. I take all my tin and copper weapons and runebreak them for plenty of mats since after a while salvaging a weapon becomes pointless after you can no longer level it up on that particular mat (ie tin ect)
