    Default Fishing: Moonhorse

Does anyone know or have a suspicion whether or not Moonhorse fish can only be fished in the highlands shallow water at night time? Right now i am trying to catch them, it is 'day' time in highland and i'm getting snapper after snapper, x2 stacks and only 6 Moonhorse. I used rare lures to get the six i have now. I'm trying to save those lures for something else, but finding it impossible to fish for Moonhorse at this time. If i have to fish up another stack of snapper without reaching my moonhorse goal of 20, i'm gonna 'snap'!

I caught two stacks of Moonhorse last night; just use the Rare Fish Lure at the water's edge behind the fighting NPCs.

I catch them at any time of day. I do use rare lures though. I fish until I only have 1 lure left, then move to Droughtlands to get the Burrowing Crabs. Once I have 20 lures off i pop to fish whatever I actually need.

I always save 3 lures to start the process again when I next need lures.

First day I tried it was tedious as I had no lures at all. But after about 20 mins it really paid off.

If you go for a specific fish, lures are the way to go. Just keep in mind that you won't be catching anything other than greens and blues with the Rare Lure. No chests, no artifacts (including Trophys)
