Trying to make a series of RIFT videos but...

The quality in my videos is fine, i use the rift recorder so the videos are stored in my documents, but the videos are like framed, i mean even in fullscreen you can see a blacksquare surrounding the video.

I'd suspect your video player first, like it may not be set to embiggen the picture when you embiggen the window. Does it do that in another video player?

The in game recorder only does 720p. If you use a better recorder at a higher quality the black edge will go away.

Also, if you're importing these into a video editing program, you should be able to resize it there (depending on the program).

I have never used the Rift recorder but try using a different in game resolution like 1600x900 to see if that fixes the aspect ratio

if you have an nvidia card that supports shadowplay, it's probably the best way to record that i've come across so far.
