Level 32, revising my build.. commentary? (Theorycraft?)
Just hit level 32 (yes yes I know, grinding like an idiot) and am.. having some thoughts on the best wast to proceed.
One of the unfortunate things about shooting through the levels in leaps and bounds is.. I'm quickly approaching uncharted territory, not many people got this high in beta, and after 20 i'm gonna be in neverland.
Anyhow Thread starts here
-----------------------------------------
I started as rift/leftover in reaver/BM, about 25.. it got slow, mostly because I was healing after every fight, the burst had sort of.. dropped off.
So I bought my third role (second was a tanking role) and flipped it, Full reaver, leftover in paladin, and it's been a party every since, I pull 5-6 mobs constantly and usually come out above half health (if not at full due to grisly works) Paladin supplements reaver nicely, 25% more block is solid, and I imagine when I get tip the balance it'll be.. quite scary
Problem is.. it's slow. when AoEing things I don't notice because I'm too busy watching my cooldowns and my health but.. 1 on 1.. I can't solo an elite in the time it takes for a obnus stage to end on a rift (4 minutes for a 4k hp elite? really?)
So, looking to take my old tank build (since my reaver build is now pretty much my tank build, has all the threat talents)
So, looking at the souls, it leads me back to my original build.. sort of, flipped.

Riftblade brings a lot of things to the table -- most importantly, weapon-independent dps (Fiery burst, Flame spear, the AoE portion of thunder strike) -- which, since i'm leveling primarily in quest gear (Though my guild currently has server first for the first three defiant instances) -- This should provide a strong improvement to dps
Finally: Rift fury, Death damage is non-elemental, so this is effectively a 75% increase in healing from soul sickness as well as a very significant boost to DoT dps
This leaves the third soul, two ways I can do this
Paladin, 0 point, nets me aggressive block, 10% block + the 12% parry/dodge from avatar of wind/deflection, and i'm almost back to the amount of migitation I had as a pally -- but at the cost of no real dps gain outside of what was gained from riftblade
Paragon -- Measly 2% parry (leaving me -11% from reaver pally, but it's all full avoidance instead of partial from block so.. makes up for it) but a BIG difference in dps: Strike like Iron, pull with necrotic wound, get 3 points, suddenly 30% spike in healing and damage.
So.. Comments? "You are doin' it wrong!", anything?
