    Default Soul Feedback - Reaver - 3.1

    Starting up a new thread with the new direction of Reaver. Here are the changes made with 3.1:

    REAVER
    * The default range of all Reaver abilities is now 30m.
    * Deadly Reach: Now increases the max enemies hit by your Desecrating Blow, Rancid Cleave, and Explosive Infestation by 1/2/3.
    * Plague Bringer: Now affects up to 7 additional targets instead of 4.
    * New Ability: Desecrating Blow: Acquired at 20 points in the root. 30m ranged AoE finisher.
    * Dire Blow: Now a ranged attack with 30m base range.
    * Fester: Now increases all damage types.
    * Flesh Rot: Now has a 10s cooldown. Damage has been increased to compensate.
    * From the Shadows: Now reduces damage taken by the Reaver by 2/4/6/8/10%.
    * Necrotic Wounds: Increased damage.
    * Pestilence: Changed from a passive talent to an activated self buff.
    * Planar Attunement: Now also increases range of ranged attacks by 1/2/3/4/5. Range increase does not stack with Long Range Training.
    * Rancid Cleave:
    - Now a ranged attack with 30m base range.
    - Removed the default damage bonus for Reaver DoTs on Rancid Cleave.
    - Now affected by Shadow Strike.
    * Ravaging Strike: Now a ranged attack with 30m base range.
    * Reaping Touch: Now affects Desecrating Blow.
    * Shadow Strike:
    - Lowered bonus damage added by Shadow Strike from 33% to 25%.
    - Capped out the max contributing Reaver DoTs to 3.
    - Now affects Desecrating Blow and Rancid Cleave.
    * Shadow Warp:
    - No longer a targeted teleport, but a 15m blink in front of the Reaver.
    - Now removes all crowd control effects when used. Cooldown reduced to 20s.
    * Soul Sickness: No longer has a cooldown.
    * Walks with Death: Now increases damage over time effects by 2/4/6%.
    * Viral Stream: Corrected the description to be more accurate of the damage done.
    * Shadow of Dread: Cooldown lowered to 15s.

    Also, as a reminder, this; "* Intense Training: Now increases all damage types." is actually for Warlord. Going to have some fun with Reaver tonight and get some initial results/impressions.

    Would be possible add a purge to that soul?

    Clerics: Inquisitor
    Rogue: Marksman
    Mages: Necro, Dominator and Warlock

    I know that we have purges on VK, that is really good for tanks and the we have too best spam purge of the game that is Beastmaster. But could be awesome have a DPS option with purge =)

    Unintended consequence: every melee NPC that is a reaver, is now a ranged NPC (eg: the elites in the church of Port Scion warfront).

    The change in range applies to auto attacks as well, not just abilities. Not a huge note, but is useful for anyone looking at abilities that proc on auto hits.

    I've been messing around with PvP specs utilizing Reaver for damage and the other 2 trees for supporting/buff abilities. A few interesting builds that I want to test out but who knows if any will pan out yet. It's only been a day.

    Thank you Vladd! I'm enjoying the Reaver revamp a lot and glad to have an alternative to Tempest.

    I've only tested 61 reaver so far in dummy last night but first impression is good. Need to test whether this rework will open up some much needed synergy for soul hybridisation.

    Despite being ranged it seems to fit better in warrior archetype and play-style than tempest ever did (lol warrior caster).

    I've loved Reaver ever since it was switched to a damage soul, I loved it but it just wasn't fit for raiding .. very glad to see that it has very good potential now in the raiding scene

    reposting this here from the other reaver thread.

    1.been messing around with reaver in pvp last night and today.its much smoother then it was, has good range but its very soft,as is most warrior souls. if your targeted or you have a rogue on you your dead. i can see this reaver having a place in cq pms, to spread damage around or in a wf pm if you have pocket heals. sad part is i used a reaver spec in cq to aoe other raids and thats when reaver was a tank (rip).

    still missing the old corruptions that we could drop down and watch people stand in,would love to see a few come back.stumbling morass should do damage. the change to shadow of dreads cd is good.

    i think that shadow warp needs to be changed. no reason why a ranged soul needs a gap closer, change it to a backwards leap like elude from temp. also im finding myself not using cloak of death at all,cool talent but i rather seeing something more use full put in.

    vladd -how about giving us an old school corruption back in place of either shadow warp or cloak of death?

    Shadow Warp was changed to a blink. It's not a gap closer anymore.

    Doesn't really matter if its forward or backward, as you can use either in either direction if you know what you're doing.

    i know what im doing,been using a reaver/temp spec for well over a year+ if not longer,i even played reaver in beta .

    i call shadow warp a gap closer just becasue,yes i know it can be used as a gap opener.i stand bu what i said,i would trade shadow warp or cloak for an old school corruption any day.

    Crest of Entropy redesign idea:

    CoE: praces a buff on warrior, reduces damage taken by 10% per stack. max 5 stack. Ability damage taken consumes one stack. lasts 20s

    Ranged dps with competitive burst should be soft, look at new MM.

    reaver is soft and i have not seen anyone say its not or should not be.
