AP Scaling and other DPS changes to the Warrior going up to PTS

I'm curious- has anyone tried the old champ/bm/paragon st spec to see how its parsing?

I forget the exact spec, but it was something like 20champ/20paragon/26 bm. Ill try it sometime this weekend, but no way I can till tomorrow earliest

The build was 23bm/23champ/20 para iirc.

51RB/15Para DW seems to be just a little behind 44Para. Perhaps Elemental Caress (useless) could be retuned to become a Deadly Grace type scaling buff for Scald?

Tested 24 bm / 20 para / 22 champ:

Buffs were WOTR, Slayer's, Companion's Rage, Focus of Body. Using Greatsword of Ancient Betrayal w/oilstone, GI for trinket, full HK epic gear. 1179 AP, 1044 crit. BM crystal.

Rotation was:

Fierce, RW, Tearing
Fierce, Fierce, Fierce, Punishing
(repeat)

(goal was to refresh Tearing instant it fell off, RW < Fierce Strike but this way you don't lose a tick of Tearing - seemed to be better)

Wasn't perfect on the rotation by far, but got about 2370 dps - so maybe 2400-2450 with practice. Not too good.

Thanks for testing, and ya. That's not too great. Figure ill try the 26 bm version and keep up slashing strike, feral sweep and bhb s well but I'm not that hopeful as you do outgear me some as is (no gi)

Yeah - there are some variants in here to test - like 23 bm / 23 champ vs 24 bm / 22 champ. Could try a rotation like:

You'd lose about 1 tick of Tearing per rotation but you'd replace a RW with Fierce Strike. Or putting in BHB + Slashing in place of 2x Fierces, Feral replacing Punishing (but then you give up 9% crit damage to spec 26 to BM).

I didn't try to min/max it once I saw the way it was looking, but if someone really likes the spec style and plays it more cleanly it might be able to be upped a good ways.

The 23 bm spec was devised as the best st dps a bm could get at the time making use of wotm/rw and weaponmaster. The only thing left that is good for the build now basically is weaponmaster and the crit/ignore armor. Its probably better off just ditching para altogether with the nerf to 2h rw.

I tested that 38/28 whatever the update was it gutted that spec into the stone age, couldnt get above 2650 by imitating the exact stats that neterim had. wtb destroys nerf reversed k thnx bye

Your 41/23/2 didn't include rift strike, which should cover at least half that gap.

There is no aoe soul. Take away the crystal and champ aoe is pretty comparable to BD or NB.

I've always liked the 41/23/2 RB/champ/Reaver, been messing around with it since the changes first went up, I'm sure I had a parse somewhere much earlier in this thread, well here is another with the latest round of changes. I've got all consumables and using the Reaver crystal of all things.
