1.6 End-Game DPS Specs

Here's a compiled list of viable DPS specs to discuss and to ask any questions about them. They are in a general list from highest dps to lowest dps, but not set in stone, and they all have their pros and cons:


1. 2H 26 BM / 33 Champion / 7 RB - Based on bleeds scaling in a raid setting. Solid melee ST, 1 ranged ability ST, Great AOE, but pet management.

2. High dps 50 hit 2H 27 BM / 32 Champ / 7 RB - Based on bleeds scaling in a raid setting. Solid melee ST, 1 ranged ability ST, Great AOE, but pet management.

3. DW 38 Paragon / 26 BM / 2 RB - Typical 38 Paragon DW spec with BM for the bleeds scaling in a raid setting. Solid melee ST, so-so ranged ST, crappy AOE and pet management.

4. 2H 38 Paragaon / 26 Champ / 2 RB - Typical 38 Paragon spec except with a 2-handed weapon. Solid melee ST, so-so ranged ST (with DW macro) and so-so AOE.

5. 2H 38 Paragon / 21 Champ / 7 RB - Typical 38 Paragon spec except with a 2-handed weapon and Flamespear for a great ranged rotation. Solid melee ST, Great ranged ST (with DW macro), but so-so AOE.

6. Various 2H/DW 51 RB specs - Typically would go 15 into paragon, but a mix/match of para/champion is viable or 15 into 1 or the other and then VK/Vindicator as 3rd soul. Solid melee ST, so-so ranged ST and so-so AOE.

7. 2H 29 RB / 26-27 Champ / 10-11 Para - Original "AOE Powerhouse" but with the addition of Freeze Armor, makes it ST Viable. Solid melee ST, so-so ranged ST and Great AOE.

8. 2H 51 Champ / 8 Paragon / 7 RB - Can feel kind of clunky. Great melee ST, zero ranged ST and so-so AOE.

9. DW 29 RB / 26-27 Champ / 10-11 Para - Original "AOE Powerhouse" but DW. With the addition of Freeze Armor, it is ST Viable. Great melee ST, so-so ranged ST and Great AOE.

10. DW 38 Paragon / 26 Champ / 2 RB - Original 38 Paragon DW Spec. Great melee ST, so-so ranged ST and so-so AOE.

11. DW 38 Paragon / 21 Champ / 7 RB - Original 38 Paragon DW Spec. Great melee ST, great ranged ST and so-so AOE.

12. 2H 38 RB / 28 Champ / 0 Reaver - My personal favorite due to Rift Strike and Windspear. Great melee ST, Great ranged ST and Solid AOE.

13. Lower dps but 50 hit rating 2H 32 RB / 29 Champ / 5 BM - A 2H RB/Champ spec with 10/10 hit rating talents for ease into HK. So-so melee ST, so-so ranged and Great AOE.

14. Lower dps but 50 hit rating DW 33 RB / 28 Champ / 5 BM - A DW RB/Champ spec with 10/10 hit rating talents for ease into HK. So-so melee ST, so-so ranged ST and great AOE.

I'm quite a ways off from getting my HK crystals (.. guild is still pushing it's way through t1 content), and switching back to my warrior from my rogue (.. faceroll MM dps was getting boring); Not really sure what to run -- have 2 34 dps 1h and a 38 dps 2h (.. 44 dps ones never drop T_T been pvping trying to get the r6/8 one, but my server has terrible win rate

These are not ratings and do not include synergy crystals. Read the first paragraph in the thread. This is a general compilation of viable dps specs that I am publishing for the community so that people that may feel lost, may be new or may want to try something different can have an idea of what good specs are.

I did not include 44Para specs, because they are shortly after hitting 50, replaced by the 38Para specs because they are better. This does not mean 44Para specs are not viable or that there aren't other viable specs not mentioned in the list. This is just a list that I, myself, have compiled so people can better decide which spec is best for them.

I get that but I just wanted to add that the ahov spec is actually better than the 38Para, at least if you can manage the rotation.

When did THREE different BM specs become better than 2H RW? BM doesn't even have the benefit of providing the enrage companion buff to raid anymore, since the tanks provide that same buff.

Most of these specs are not endgame viable. 38 para DW or 2h. BM if you need the +hit. That's it.

You've been quite busy today, another great resource for warriors.

As far as the BM goes, most warriors HATE pets, and therefore shun the BM specs. the Current FotM 2hRW spec is technically based on a skill interaction glitch (which trion admitted to, and stated they aren't fixing) That being said, With the new content and gear progression, the Bleeds are having a very noticeable scaling increase as gear and specs get more and more refined. It's something that at the old gear levels could not be accomplished. They are also not publicized nearly as much as the 140+ page 2hRW thread, but they have been around.

Also not saying they are top DPS, but they do pull sufficient DPS nonetheless (The BM specs) Again, like Eaux said, these are subjective and vary according to each person's gear and skill.

It would lead people to believe that they are better then the 2h para build.

Also not to nit pick to much, but to me "great ST damage" would imply the build's ST damage is better then a build that is labeled "Solid ST damage" which from what I have read on spec's at least doesn't seem to be the case when comparing spec's.

Having all the info in one thread will certainly help my testing of what I can perform best with, but for someone who has time to read this, but not the time to compare the spec's for themselves, I could see a lot of people picking sub-par spec's thinking they are the best spec.
