So they're taking away Zin's Ragestorm build with the change to AP no longer being gained through the use of ragestorm. With no physical option, it's another bullet to the corpse of the warrior class.
Did they decide to revert the 1.4 neutering? I find myself logging on less and less, and when i do i find very few guildies on .
They best fix this pve and pvp balance real fast or people are going to play elsewhere. Good thing for them HK was well done(eventually), or everyone would have jumped ship.
long time reader and first post. it seems like the class balance is done by people that never or rarely play the game. it's very obvious what needs to be done and there's already a lot of great ideas posted, but no action is taken. it very obvious rogue is now the power house/fotm. just look at the warfront.
it's a pain to play a warrior atm. it's either deep dps or you cannot kill anything. if going deep dps, there's zero survivability, you will die quickly to just about anything.
it's obvious to me that rift is approaching end of life and whatever devs left are the bottom of the barrel type employees.
The idea of plate armor mitigating magic damage is logical. If you don't believe me, have a friend take an aerosol can and a lighter. Now put a solid piece of metal over your hand and have him/her shoot a flame at it. You may feel some heat if you keep the flame on long enough, but you won't get burned quickly. Now try the same thing using a piece of leather over your hand and again with cloth(this will catch fire and burn you badly). Notice the increasing level of "damage" you take.
My point is that cloth burns quickly, leather not as quickly but it still burns, chain has holes where the flame can penetrate, plate just heats up. Fire does not penetrate solid metal unless it is a very hot, focused flame like a blowtorch.
Anonn - 50 Guardian warrior now on Silkweb
Jairo - 50 Defiant mage originally on Stonecrest, now on Seastone
I will add to this guy. Rant it is Arayou and I never got the chance to thank you for saving me from those Guardians that were porti/res shrine camping new players in Scarwood and I'm happy you came to help them and dropped everything you were doing for it.
This guy has balls, he never whines, and he plays Warrior like mad and knows what he's doing. If you do the same, like I attempted to do before uninstalling/deleting my Warrior/and unsubbing to the game, you can agree with what he just said. I 100% agree, and thanks again.
Also - did anyone else notice Atrius join date?
Later then most of the Warriors telling him how to balance the class of what he's supposed to be developing. Take it from the Warrior players who know the game Atrius and have provided you with statistics, math crunches, theory crafting galore and anything else you wanted. For them. I already quit and deleted my P4 50 War.

I assume MM nerfs will be patched in the morning along with the surging energy fix... Hopefully not though, I really dont want to do HK without power regen fix.
Whilst I understand (at least think) you're a 1 man team fixing warriors with heavy burden on your shoulders (and likely a boss yelling at your every so and so). There is something you can do to help the warrior issues and it's a quick fix.
1. Go back and check patch 1.4 hotfix 4, 5 and 6.
Revert them, this will add a bit of physical dps to warriors for PVP.
2. If you want to help warrior dps. Revert the patch shortly after 1.4#6 that nerfed Elemental Touch.
3. Then go back slightly before 1.4#4 and revert the nerfs on Way of the Wind and I think Deadly Grace (forgot).
This will put DW and RB PVE DPS right back up there, still likely behind the 2h specs.
Then you have all the time you want before 1.6 to concentrate on sorting tanks.
Yeah some energy feedback from Atrius would be nice.
