Wouldn't it just be more effective to switch to an actual DPS build when you're not required to tank?
Use: Increases Parry by 230 and Dodge by 158 for 30 minutes. Fortification Serum.
Pair with + 30 str assualt potion
(and either DR shield dmg ability or Full shield on being Hit Greater)
if i need the aggro i throw on
maybe some of my choices, come to light.
Edit: "Greaters Suck" right? WL aggro will be getting the hammer, wait for it and when its gone be prepared.
"Your a tank dont thnk about DPS"
And all other you are supposed to , you cant,
This is a different game , there are 200k+ ways to spec a calling, I am attempting to make someone who addresss very specific needs. That only is beneficial in the right hands. 90% of you who come here asking fora build would never be able to use this.
I utilize @mark casting, while also marking, equipment changes, ability bar switches all interwoven into a system most just wont be capable of.
If you have aggro issue and dont care about DPS, then go for it, I can peel aggro, taunt, aoe taunt, and maintain aggro without a problem. What matters is the the shell and abilities I "reach" for being preservation/spotters/rift shield.
Now your tank doenst have to spotters, or you have more up in a AOE
10% as health - 0 overhealing.
Magic shield, warrior (hopefully your MT) can always use more of this.
You make yourself out to be such an elitist, lol. Utilizing @mark casting and ability bar switches. Any decent raid tank does anyways.
Stop trying to cover up the fact that your tank spec isn't useful at all in raid situations by making yourself out to be better than everyone else.
Fact is, you're probably not, so get off your high horse.
Look most people wont use macros much more advanced then cinderhelms in his build, i use a mark on healer MT , myself, and have macros with 30 + lines that are more that handle 4 skills with 100% efficiency, yea I am ahead of 90% of you.
I'm not bashing you, I'm trying to understand where this is build excels and I'm just having trouble seeing it so I'm asking questions.
It seems to me that if you're off-tanking and you want to boost your group as much as possible, you should just use a 32 point WL build. Turn of Battlefield Awareness when you don't need aggro on everything around you, or just stay 10m away from the boss and the main tank. If your raid doesn't need the party healing from a bard, he can go DPS because you have Call to Battle and Call to Entrench. You just gave your raid an extra DPS. If you don't have an archon handy you have your health aura, and Assault Command. A 15% boost to your raid if timed well can make all the difference in the world. Not to mention Rallying Command and Aid Command, both can save wipes and no one else can bring those.
Pair that with smart building in your secondary and tertiary souls and you can have all the damage mitigation you'll need to step in and tank if you're required to. I get the concept of what you're trying to do, I just think there are some easy improvements to make. A glaring example is the points in Quality Care instead of Ravenous Defense. 50% armor is worth far more than the very small number of pact conversions you're saving.
Edit: Don't macros have a limit of 25 lines?

Guys, don't you know who McWaffle is? He's notorious for being a really bad troll/hilarious downie with delusions of grandeur on multiple subforums here (you should read the one he posted in I think the Cleric forums, it's good stuff). You really do have to just smile and nod or he won't go away. He doesn't accept criticism, and insists that his bizarre, ineffective, and completely nonsensical builds/strats are the best around, and everyone else just doesn't understand. Then he posts videos of how awesome they are for level 50 PvP or raid tanking or whatever of him doing it at level 25 or something. Seriously, look at his posting history.
Yoda quote incoming! There is tank or no tank....No Off tank...If you need more tank you get 2 tank!...still no OT....I'm curious how this goes when you try to get in a raid.
Whats yer role in this raid exactly?
..Well I kinda tank poorly, while the actual tank is tanking...
..Yeah I invented it myself! It's hot!
And here I thought it always made more sense for both you MT and OT to be as equally "tanky" as possible so either one can be MT if needed. Having an OT that could never MT doesn't make much sense.
