Warlord - Warrior Healer/Support Suggestion
I like my warrior and I really like the warlord, however I always wanted to be a support warrior... and the potential is there, and I think with a little tweaking the Warrior class could have a legitimate support class.
My simple and elegant solution is to introduce a new ability to the warlord soul, change one ability into a buff, switch two abilities in the warlord tree and add a healing element to each warlord call.
Leader's Mark - I suggest switching this ability with Empowering Strike in the tree (so Leader's mark costs 4 talent points instead of 2). I also suggest turning this ability into a buff that can be cast on a friendly ally.
New Leader's Mark - 20 energy, 30 meter range, Instant
The warlord chooses one of his allies as his lieutenant marking them with a Leader's Mark [which is also visually represented by a banner (imagine like a battle flag) that is visible by both allies and enemies]. All the warrior's healing abilities are 100% more effective on the marked player, in addition the marked player's threat will increase by 50%.
Lasts 30 mins.
This will allow the warlord to mark the tank and still deliver enough healing to protect a single player from boss type enemies or a lot of punishment.
Battlefield Presence - This would be a new ability gained at 4 points invested in warlord soul tree.
Battlefield Presence
10 Energy
Instant
Cooldown: 10.00 Seconds
Every time the Warrior uses a Call or Command ability their allies are healed by 1% of the warriors health every second. While Battlefield presence is active the warrior's threat will increase by 20%. Lasts 1 hour.
Requires: 4 Points Spent in Warlord
Requires: Level 4
These changes would effectively turn a warlord into a secondary or support raid healer with limited hot abilities who relies on endurance to scale his heals. I don't think this would make a substitute for a cleric in most situations but it will allow the warlord to fill a support role for dungeons as well as heal low level dungeons (10-30). It would also make a warrior warlord a very attractive choice for pvp healing.
To demonstrate the effectiveness of the warlord heals here are some simple numbers.
With 1000 hp (probably around level 10) a warlords basic Call to Battle ability will heal for 10 hp every second for 6/12/18 seconds. Not really that great but if you have say 10 people in a raid it you are effectively healing 100 hp a second. It does rely on you having attack points up but I don't think it would be such a big issue. It would certainly not be enough to heal a dungeon however (which is fine).
At 50 with (me for example) 8000 hp and 2 call abilities and 3 command abilities you could theoretically in a best case scenario heal 80hp x 5 = 400hp a second over 8/15/21 seconds (if you have the call extension talent). Now that is best case scenario and relies on 3 2 min cd abilities that can only be used every 5 mins. Realistically you would probably max out at 160hp a second for every raid member using Call to Battle and Call to Entrench.
As I said, it wouldn't turn a Warrior into a healer but it would certainly make a warlord an attractive choice for support healing or a support position in a group. This kind of mechanic would also turn a warlord into a passive healer who can still attack and buff without having to focus entirely on healing allies.
Please share your thoughts and give me a thumbs up if you like the idea.

I've heard this suggested a million times, and I think it would be cool to have a healer Warlord type... but I doubt it will ever happen. The specific comment I keep hearing (and I agree with) is "Make this class like the Captain from LOTRO." The Captain from Lord of the Rings Online is a great class, a melee healer who can heal his group much better than he can heal himself, so he isn't just another Justicar.
But, I think that's the reason Trion isn't doing it.. That's exactly what the Justicar soul from the Cleric line is.
Now, I kinda like the way they revamped Warlord.. and since they just did it, I doubt we will see them revamp it again anytime soon. But I am sure that when the first expansion comes out, we will see a support Soul added to the Warrior calling....
The way I presently see Warlord is as a kind of "Master of Agro" which is a cool thing to have in PvE. I think right now most good tank specs will have at least Spotter's Order, and probably at least 10 points in Warlord to get the pull as well. Since 1.2, Warlord is hands-down the best agro you can have, so it's not nearly as gimped as it used to be.

Likely has been said a hundred or so times before, however I would like to see the Warlord soul become more than just another healing support class. Rather I would like to see it become a battle control class.
What I mean is to have the Warlord be able to buff parts of a raid or a party etc that are suffering at the time. For example if the healers are having trouble, the Warlord can buff the healer's through-put or if the tank is taking too much burst damage the Warlord can then change his/her buffs to helping the tank's mitigation and/or health. He/she could also throw down AoE style buffs that up damage, either concentrating on your ranged dps or melee dps, throw out buffs for pet damage and health. The skill of this would be deciding what to do, who to do it to and when the ideal time to do it is. All signs of a great leader!
A nice 51 pointer would be a raid/group wide buff similar to the bloodlust/heroism from "that other game".
For me a Warlord is a leader (which I have seen many people say) and therefore should be able to "command" his/her troops when a battle's tide needs turning (picking the right buffs for the time), be able to inspire greatness (getting the best results from whichever part of raid/group is suffering at the time) and improve morale (the final push to victory).
I hope that makes sense
Have fun!

Forgot to add that I know a lot of these ideas are already in the Warlord build however being "Weary" for 5mins every time you use them means a lot of time twiddling your thumbs. What are people going to pick, a support class that can heal and buff constantly or a support class that can do 5-6 things every 5mins for each? Let Warlords decide who they buff and when, otherwise they are not the Warlord just some Captain inspiring a platoon/company while following orders from above (no offence to any Captains reading this).
P.S. I also like the healer ideas Cesta!
