Blood Raptor pet abilities, any upcoming improvements?

Not sure if any mods make rounds over this forum, but is there any information on potentially adding new pet skills? I don't know about other Rangers, but I feel like the Blood Raptor is neat, but where does he fit in? He can't tank anything when soloing because he cannot hold aggro, and in PvP he is close to the Greater Dire Wolf. He unfortunately feels like a waste.

Is there anything in the works about giving him a taunt? At least this way, Rangers can toggle it ON or OFF for PvP or soloing. Thoughts/comments?

The 3 pets are for different situations. Boar is solo PvE, wolf is PvP, and Raptor is for group/raid PvE.
