    Default Bard's mesmerize + saboteur = "stunlock"

    The bard 34 root ability:

    Verse of Captivation
    20 Meter Range
    25 Energy
    Instant
    Plays a Verse that mesmerizes an enemy for 8 seconds. Any damage on the affected enemy removes the effect. Only 1 enemy can be mesmerized at a time.
    (no cooldown it appears)

    This could be exploited by the Saboteur.
    Rotation: Mesmerize, add charges, detonate, mesmerize, charges, detonate again... endlessly
    Can be done in combat, at range.

    Diminishing Returns. Meaning that after you use Mesmerize, for the next 20 seconds, if you try to use it again, it'll be half duration.

    Meaning. 8->4->2, Nothing for 20 seconds

    Nice find, but u would invest 2 many points in bard, so u would lose loats of tools for sabo, but for duel seems crazy =)

    Check the post above your's. Diminishing returns render "endless" stunlocking impossible. You can still use gimmicks to stun people for a long time (in PVP 8-10 seconds is a lifetime) but a lot of times you're better off using your energy on more efficient methods of dispatch.

    Even with diminishing returns its still enough time 2 blow ppl up...

    Yup in 1v1 its too much.

    Something alike would be assassin or nightblade sapping from stealth, charges/detonate, then blind, charge detonate, then foul play.

    Isn't that PvP only?

    Being able to stunlock mobs in PvE could be useful for eliminating elites.

    For now. With level 50 health i dont know if that build will work to well. But maybe.

    You're better off coupling Sabo with Nightblade for the added damage on CP builders and finishers.

    Jut hit someone with Lost Hope (ranged Sap from conceal) - Build 5 charges [Not sure if they still break Sap or not, they didn't in the beta], Detonate. Then hit them with the 25 pt Nightblade talent, which works exactly like blind- 15 second incapacitate (Works in combat) on a 30 second CD.

    Also add Twilight Shelter (18 pt from NB) for stacking Sabo charges again while taking 80% less damage (after mitigation) over the 8 seconds.

    The problem is the CC breakers/CC % reducers and "invulnerability over x seconds" abilities. It really doesn't work all that well (in practice) the higher level you go. Also, after playing Sin over the weekend, one-on-one PvP is pretty rare even if you're looking for it. Someone is bound to break/dispel your Incapacitate.

    There is no question that Sabos PvP is nigh overpowered in the lower levels though when the CC breakers don't exist.

    For a Bard / Sabo / X-dps-Build

    Spikedamage-build 1on1 if you engage:

    - 5 charges-mix + detonate for max damage take 6 sec (stack charges on enemy on range)
    BOOM
    - mez from bards tree 8 sec duration
    - 2 sec for buffs/heals/timebomb
    - 5 charges-mix + detonate for max damage take 6 sec (stack while mez)
    BOOM
    - enemy has 1 sec of free action time
    - mez from bards tree 4 sec duration
    - 5 charges for stun + detonate take 6 sec (stack while mez)
    - enemy has 2 sec of free action time
    BOOM
    - 5 sec stun from stun-charges
    - 5 charges-mix + anhilation-bomb for max damage take 6 sec (stack while stun)
    - enemy das 1 sec free action time
    BOOM
    - enemy das 1 sec free action time
    - now you use the 5 combo-points for a hard hitting finisher
    - enemy das 1 sec free action time
    - bard-skill Riff
    - enemy das 1 sec free action time
    - now you use the 5 combo-points for a hard hitting finisher



    4x 5-charge-explosions and 2x 5 combo-finisher while the enemy has 7 sec for actions.
    Sounds good to me
    Hint: move behind the enemy while applying charges. Most will use their 1 sec breaks just for spamming their skills (you do not face the target) and turning around in stress

    Remember: All their damage will be healed by your motiv of regeneration

    So, if anybody should live through this 6-time-burst they will face a saboteur at full life with buffs rolling while sitting in a ae-slow-bomb with one foot in a trap waiting for kicking them into the prepared bomb-carpet
