Default High Mobility Assassin: World PVP

Looking to do this build for World Pvp and some WF with a team. This will be an END GAME Build and I feel it will be highly gear dependent. It also focuses on high Levels of situational awareness and positioning, but I feel if played correctly this build could prove very solid.

Just to clarify there will be TWO versions of my original build. They are.

    World PvP:

    http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1M...z..MAoftobodbR

    Organized WF PvP:

    http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1M...o..MAoftobodbR

With this setup Ill have all of the Phase abilities, Full Bleeds, CC Immunity in the form of FoM, CC Breaks with Slip Away and Phase Shifts. It also has 2 Stuns ( Para Strike, Foul Play), 2 70% Slows ( Malicious Strike and Sticky Bomb), 10 Second Blind, 6 Second Full CC (Similar to Cyclone in WoW). The coolest thing is that you can Phase Shift while in stealth. Allowing you to use stealth openers much more effectively, and allowing you to get away after bleeds are applied via Slip Away.

Riftstalker is a great way to cover for the weaknesses of the Assassin class. It provides a great tool kit for Gap-closers, Defensive Buffs, Offensive Buffs in the form of Crit Rating, as well as great tools for getting out if things turn bad.

My Rotation will most likely be some form of

    Stealth>
    Shadow Stalk>
    Jagged Strike>
    Foul Play>
    Puncture>
    Impale>
    Backstab as filler

    (Until they run)

Shadow Assault into another Backstab. If they get away I can Slip Away and repeat and open up with Para Strike for the stun this time.

I really like the Sticky Bomb from the Sab tree but you can use any of the other trees to get a skill you like.

I have quite a bit of end game PvP experience from games ranging from WoW, Anarchy Online, EvE and back to Diablo 2. This class is not meant to be an easy to use class but a build that will be highly viable if you can utilize the massive number of tools it has.

    Tell me what you think.

    EDIT: SERVER INFO: Emberlord-Defiant

I may put a point into Planar Refuge instead of rift prison

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities.

It looks rly similar to what i have in mind for my late game assassin/riftstalker spec.

the buffs after planeshifts looks to be rly awsome.

Rift Prison is a 6 Second full CC. Meaning its an interrupt AND it takes that person out of combat for 6 seconds. Hit a healer with than when they have no trinket and the guy your stabbing loses his survivability. I do agree that Planar Refuge is good. However I don't feel that I will need it with the amount of escapes I have.

thats true for fights with more then one person and i couldnt agree with you more, its the rift version of WoW's cyclone which is a great spell. I was thinking more 1v1 instances where it would prove worthless and the damage reduction would be great.. but i do agree you have a lot of other survivability skills

    In reply to Zkrilla:

Yeah I was thinking of using NB as my Filler Soul. But the Sticky Bomb is just so good.

Also I could never work without Freedom of Movement and Improved Rift Barrier. FoM is gonna be really important with the amount of CC that is in this game.

Also really happy this hasn't devolved into: OMG RS is for Tanking WTF!!!!111

Looking to get some good feedback here and so far its paying off.

    I see your point.
We will have to w8 untill we get to endgame to test these things out.
I think rs has bin underlooked by many rogues, to me its look just awsome.

Mainly because PvP at lower levels is extremely bursty.

Once people get 50 and start gaining resilience, burst will slow down.

RS will be the king of specs. 32 minimum.

4 shadow steps, 1 blink, 1 teleport, and one lock port.

Too much mobility to give up.

Utility will always be > than damage in a game where people don't die in 5 seconds.

Shhhhhh don't let other people know that. Let them think all RS is good for is a tank... I'll Show them... I'll Show them ALL!!!

    On a more serious note.

The only thing I may change is the Improved Savage Strike may turn into Advanced Flanking depending on if the change goes through or not. We shall see.

Trion has confirmed that there will be something similar in this game to limit the amount of Burst from players.
