For those who have seen the "newest notes" do you think the changes to serrated blades and advanced flanking collectively were a nerf or a buff? I'm a bit confused, myself. Seems like a mixed bag.

    All I'm seeing is this

    * Damage of weapon poisons has been increased.
    * Poison Gas: Cooldown reduced to 30 seconds, down from 2 minutes.

Coiuld you copy paste what you have found?

You'd have to google search the latest notes. Posting them is still against forum rules.

    But basically:
Serrated blades is down to 100% weapon damage and only affects melee now.
Advanced flanking now adds 3-6% crit to backstab and 25-50% crit to paralyzing strike, Assassinate, jagged strike. (I'm guessing this replaces the old 50% ignore armor).

Serrated blades is bad for us because it nerfs the damage but also good for us because it nerfs MM/ranger and brings us closer to them in damage.

Advanced flanking adds to our PvP burst (opener crit = ridiculous damage) and the backstab crit chance is very nice as well. The ignore armor was fine but really we're not SUPPOSED to be taking down high-armored targets anyways.

Overall I think the changes are very good for sins.

You guys are missing the biggest nerf.

They put internal cooldown on poisons.

Actually, fast fast is still probably the way to go since the weapon damage is normalized. Meaning we should be looking at dps of a weapon. In addition, fast/fast allows us to make the downtime between the ICD and when we actually proc smaller, leading to more dps. Granted it is still a nerf for sure .

Makes sense but what about abilities based upon weapon damage? Wouldn't a slow MH make those hit harder?

No thats what i mean, the weapons are normalized so that ALL rogues arent running around with the biggest slowest weapons they can find. Also if you observe the actual numbers on the weapons youll find they really arent THAT far apart anyway. So the benefit from slower weapons will not outweigh the keeping poison ICD on CD (lol). Even if it did work like that. At least, from my knowledge this is what Trion put out, ill have to dig for the actual post on it. *puts google hat on*
