Thread: Thinking of making a PvESaboteur build. Any tips/suggestions?

    Default Thinking of making a PvESaboteur build. Any tips/suggestions?

    I didn't get a chance to try Sab in the beta, so I'm unsure of what talents and whatnot to choose.

    What current builds are you guys rolling with?

    Also are the Sab's bombs, etc. considered "non-physical" damage? If so, then NB would be a great complement to the Sab.

    What would you guys suggest for the third soul?

    Sabo first soul, then Ranger, then NB.

    Dont skill Ranger till you have 31 in Sab and 13 in NB. Your pet boar will be a fine tank for 30 levels. Get to 31 in Sab and put spare points in NB.

    Note: this is a leveling build

    Do you have one for simply group DPS? That's my priority. But a leveling build is nice too, I may have to check that one out.

    Stack 3 Blast Charges + 2 Spike Charges -> cast Incriminate on Tank -> Detonate using Anni Bomb -> 5 CP Final Blow

    This gives the tank some great threat when he pulls. After that:

    Blast Charge - Shrapnel Charge - Ember Charge - Calthrop Charge - Splinter Charge - Detonate

    Both Poison Potency (Assassin) and Blazing Fury (Nightblade) increase Charge damage. Assassin gives you nice crits.

    That's just how I play my Sabo in dugeons. Use the Annih bomb rotation whenever it's up (followed by a 5 CP Finisher). Throw in some Spike Charge detonates during bossfights for some DOT.

    Regular rotation is just spamming 5 different charges -> Detonate

    This because of Charge Booster (5 different charges equals10 charges, whereas 5 Blast Charges would count as 6).

    I know poisons from assassin work with ranged attacks using a bow, but can anyone confirm if they proc off Sab charges being detonated?

    6 blast charges > 2 blast charges and 8 other charges so ill stick with 5 blast charge imo, especially since the detonate is what does the dmg...

    The damage on detonate is far inferior to the damage from charges; either 5 of one (upped to 6 from charge booster) or the combined damage from 5 different charges (upped to 10 from booster)
