Default Alternative Marksman builds (post Serrated blades "fix")

    Bladedancer / Marksman / Assassin: http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...EhtRqdhudR.0VM
    Nightblade / Marksman / Assassin: http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...EhtkqdhudR.0VM
    Bladedancer / Marksman / Nightblade: http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...toqdhuzR.V0t0G
    Ranger / Marksman / Nightblade: http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...tRqdhuzR.V0t0G
Ranger / Marksman / Assassin http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...EhtRqdhuzR.0VM (with 7 points to spare)

I think the Ranger/Marksman/Nightblade makes most sense post Serrated Blades. The real killer is the 8-10 point gap left in Assassin, really limiting us there.

Yeah, I have been trying to figure out what to do in that gap myself. I made an entire post about it at
    http://forums.riftgame.com/showthrea...ernaitve-Skill

For the time being I am still planing on going Assassin 31/Ranger 26/ Bard 9 (Bard is for the pet armor and 5% crit buffs)

Yeah it's preventing us from accessing some really nice talents.

I still believe Ranger/Marksman/Nightblade is the way to go post Serrated Blade for a Marksman, some nice damage there and 2 snares. 40 Point is a must-have for me in MM, Retreat is just that good.

Do you plan on using your pet? If so, it can't really hold aggro past 30 unless you get the upgraded version which is 24 points into ranger. If not, I can understand using the ranger for the crit increase but what do you do about survivability? I found that while I loved Marksman in PvP, I hated kiting in PvE because of the high concentrations of mobs I would tend to run into (especially as they spawn) while kiting as a marksman (their primary survival method).

Pve wise, losing virulent poison costs me around 20 dps, of course this amount would change depending on your gear, but there would have to be something significant to give this up, instead of just spending a wasted point to pick it up.

Internal cooldowns for Poisons will be active if the patch goes through. I am talking about builds post the Alpha patch notes ( http://forums.riftgame.com/showthrea...-with-MM-nerfs )

Just point the three into cloak and dagger and open with paralyze.

Stealth - Lost hope - Paralyze - activate hit and run - two empowering shots + a deadeye shot - they leave the stun with significant damage already suffered.) - bullseye - strafe - deadeye shot (should still be instant cast) - Use quick reload - strafe again - hit and run - dead eye shot, empowering shot twice - deadeye shot.

If they survived throw the towel in and head to the forums!
If my guild tag is red to you, then your already dead...

Great for ganking mages. Won't be able to do all that in warfront unless you're going after somebody way way outside of enemy lines. Hopefully you're doing this against people who react slow. Against warriors who react quick enough, by the time you finish the two empowering shots, the stun should've worn off and they can stun you back then you're just dead cause you're within their range and you're glass cannon.

No, I meant Internal Cooldowns aren't working yet so how were you able to parse them?

    http://forums.riftgame.com/showthrea...-with-MM-nerfs

Read patchnotes regarding Poisons and Internal Cooldowns

I don't see why you just don't grab puncture with the build and still have access to the poisons. Not using it wouldn't really be that big of a deal would it, or am I missing something.

This is what I can up with.

    For PVE
    http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...xhxMq0Ah0o.0VR

    For PVP
    http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...xGtRqkAhdo.0VR

I don't know how well those would work, in my mind they seem okay.

Edit: Nevermind I am an idiot.. disregard.

The problem is, you are missing out on the good stuff with that build.

Ranger: Blood Rapter, thats 150 dps easy, with crappy gear, let alone feral aggression/prey/king
Marksman: Controlled fire, fire and forget, snipers pedestal
