Default Sabardteur - Pool Sharking Combat Stategy

Of course this is one idea for a soul combination out of many but I believe it will be a viable option for those who enjoy crazy bomb tossing hooligan action while still remaining versatile so you can fill in the gaps your group lacks. Best of all, itís like playing two games in one which requires skill and concentration in the midst of all the action and thus will keep you entertained.

This soul combination and method of combat is called the Pool-Sharking Sabardteur- yes, itís a rogue who is a Saboteur, a Bard, and one who likes to play billiards (which is a Marksman). It works like this:

Saboteur: Level your skills until you obtain Shrapnel Charge. This is required to make the big booms that tick rift invaders off. I recommend Remote Clipping and Remote Bombing to keep a much safer distance as you are gonna generate some massive threat (and thatís not a matter of if but when). Lastly, Improved Explosive Power will give you a much bigger boom for your buck (or planarite for that matter) and donít forget to make use of your Adhesive Bombs just before you detonate in the case the mobs turn on you.

Bard: You'll want to make sure you have Motifs of Bravery and Focus. These will significantly increase your damage and crit chance on the mobs you detonate. On your path to getting these you'll want to get Bardic Inspiration to max so you'll worry less about maintaining these motifs. Invigorated Soul will help fill in the healing roles which you'll often find lacking and itís also an awesome tool for generating combo points.

Marksman: You'll be putting the least amount of points in this Soul Tree but the real fun from this tree only requires 4 points for Repelling Shot. Yep, this is your "billiard stick" which knocks enemies back 15 meters which enables us to turn a weak-lowly mob into a "body bomb". If you level this further, your finishing moves will increase your running speed by 30% which aids in your get-away so you'll have plenty of options to keep the mobs occupied. Sometimes, helping your group is just a matter of buying them time while the mobs try to chase you.

    The Strategy:
Youíre main combat loop for rifts will be to stack on your Motifs of Bravery and Focus and any Anthems or songs you have. Afterwards and if available, there are usually regular mobs just outside the rift. Piss one off by latching your Shrapnel Charges onto it and leading it to the edge of the rift. When 5 charges are set, position yourself accordingly. Throw an Adhesive Bomb next to your target mobs and finally use Repelling Shot. Your lowbie mob will go flying into the crowd of rift mobs and Detonate. With luck on your side, you will see some big damage numbers pop up. If the mobs turn on you, your Adhesive Bomb will give you some time to get away. Of course, if they donít turn on you, restack of your Motifs and repeat. Youíll find your planarite rewards will fill up quick due to the number of mobs you are damaging. You can play billiards with your body bombs every 30 seconds but do remember that Repelling Shot has about a 25% chance of missing so try to use the lowest mob possible for your body bomb.

Getting a gold rating in Rifts has nothing to do with damage done. Also you will do much higher damage with 27/28 points into sab, and rest in nb/other trees. Bard buffs don't increase your damage that much.
