Default Havent played the bard yet, but was wondering on a few templates.....

Was curious if any of these would be good for what I plan on doing. Really wanna try out the Bard line. For now I wont be messing with pvp. Just want to get to understand the toon first. So it will mostly be solo stuff, grouping with two friends of mine...And jumping into any group stuff like rifts and trying to support as best as I can.

This template was more of a support with enhancements to the bard line or such

I was thinking on some type of Ranger/Bard template with a third choice maybe being sabo with no points invested, just to use the sticky bombs if and when needed.

Would going heavy on the bard line and using the other two lines like in the template I posted work for me in what I plan on doing in-game? Or am I looking at alot of headaches? I mean, its not like Ive got to have ranger together with a bard...I can mess with that later on....just want to try and start a good solid choice right off the bat come the 15th and try and stick with it throughout the event to get a feel for it and see if it works or not for the actual headstart afterwards.

This would be better still because A) Verse of Joy is going to be a required CD for harder 5-man and raid content and B) Hit > any other stat until capped

If you're going to do that, I would do it this way instead:

We have 2 guides over at RiftBards.com that can help get you started with Bards.

    The Basics

    and

    The Support Bard Guide

Langston's Support guide has some good build suggestions at the end, also.

That is by far the best spec i have found not going 51 points into bard is a waste the bard tree has allot of very good abilities, also going into nightblade like this allows you to up your damage allot witch in turns up your healing of your cadence and also gives i stealth and a sap so your able to buff, Debuff, crowd control and off heal. also going Riftstalker gives u the planar shift to exit out of the way quickly.

I'm actually inclined to agree here. The whole point of bard is to buff the party and the 51 point talent seems like it'll be pretty sweet for burn phases or long fights. My only change would be moving a point from coup de grace to fire and death attunement.
