    Default so rogues can tank...

so i hear rogues can tank, if anyone is knowledgeable about this subject and would care to share some answers id be appreciative.

    1. what weapons do they use? two 1hs or a 1h and a shield.
    2. my guess would be theyre based around dodging? do parry and armor play a part?
    3. which souls do you use?
    4. would they be viable end game tanks?

thankx in advance for any information you can give me about these questions or otherwise.

    Dual wield.
They are actually based around absorption shields.
Riftstalker and others as you choose.
I think so, there's no non-NDA info on this.

I've not seen any evidence that they are lacking.

    It is extremely viable.

I play Rogue/Burst DPS in every single MMO no matter what and never tanked a day in my life... unless i was a rogue getting beat down and had to flee.

So on the last day of Beta 6 after reaching 35, a group of 2 mages and 2 clerics, all 35, needed a tank to run King's Breach (level 35 instance.)

I had run it once before but only got halfway through due to how insanely hard it was.

I offered to tank and let them know I never tank but they obliged.

It was the easiest time I've spent in an instance thus far since Beta 1.

that looks like it's pretty much invincible to anything.... but you also hit like a catholic school boy after confessing to a priest... who is also your uncle.

    Rogues cannot tank...

    Riftstalkers can tank...

Calling =!= Soul. I wonder when people will get that into their minds...

    Clerics can't heal
    Rogues can't sneak and dps
    Warriors are not tanks
Mages are not roar fireball dps

The callings are just empty husks to get filled by up to 3 souls...

personally i drop rift barrier for "riff" and CoR, also i run bardic inspiration so my motifs are more efficient ie 30 sec buff. at the 35 level range i feel my spec fullfills the MT roll along with an off healer and buffer rolled into one package, maybe when the level cap is increased ill change it up, but atm i MT fine with a max of 21 pts in rift. also alotta people like BD off spec for 16% extra dodge with a finisher buff up and alotta pts invested, i prefer bard as main and rift off with a higher HP pool , more armour, more resists, more damage, more flat damage mitigation, and more party crits which includes heals.

I'd think bladedancers dodge and what not would be more viable than the pet and 5% health.

Also, Improved False Blade will help. It would add a parry chance on top of the extra 5% dodge chance that ability gets you.

Oh, also: that build that was linked was missing Rift Scavenger.

Im tellin ya, 26 assassin for 15% extra damage mitigation.Considering that you already have 50ish percent damage mitigation, its actually taking 30% less damage than you would have been! Its the way of the future!
