    pve or pvp?

IMHO Every "serious" bard will go 13 into nightblade for Unstable State, Blazing Fury and Coup de Grace

While I respect your opinion, I dont agree with the statement "Every Serious Bard".

For instance, this build alone is just as good IF NOT BETTER OVERALL as using nightblade:

    http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...M0x.EIdqiqskqz

You gain Overall Damage increase, crit rate, 50% dodge which ends up being ALOT more due to your heavy dex stating , a 30 second CC for an add or another player from gank squads in pvp.

What it comes down to is playstyle. I play the build i linked and so far I dont lose in world pvp even when im already engaged with a mob. So my opinion is every serious bard will go purist build and 51 pt their bard tree and use whatever they feel is best in utility from a second tree and take the 3rd soul for strict basic abilitys given, hence the blade dancer for its 15 seconds of essential "You cant hit me, neenar neenar" shennanigans.

    Again just my opinion ;)

Now i dislike alot of the bard tree abilities as i find them absolutely worthless... Like power chord
But i think verses of joy is too valuable in a raid setting to not have.

    bard/nb/rng

Just ranger for pet, bard for dmg/heals and NB for extra bard dmg

    What about bard/night/rift

51 in bard and take rift up to the 3/3 point that increases heal amounts you recieve

51 in bard seems like such a waste outside of a raid.

    This i used in PvP

    http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0McNf.EczVV0k.xh

Pet is just for anoing my targer :P

Worke'd realy nice in pvp gruop... But as u se my build go only to lvl 26 (what i hitted in last beta with this alt)

    PvE i use other build.

    http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0McNi.v0z.qMccuLoo

This is for soloing and bit help in rift's planed to put more points in brad tree so i can heal. This build is mainly ranger with brad as support and close conbat.

Found out this build after lot of traying and failer... Build fitts me realy good.. Best is to get pointers and then tray and se what is good for u.

one build a other person uses might not be good for u.

Not only is that NOT better overall than using nightblade, it's not even as good. Bard abilities are life damage, so your points to increase physical damage are rather worthless. Nightblade's increase in non-physical dmg is essential for 51-pt bards.

Here's what I'd suggest: http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1M...EIdqiqskqz.Vhb Or substitute assassin with ranger if you want a pet

Is Street Smart really worth the 3 points?

Not criticizing, I don't know the answer since I barely played with a bard. I've never been keen on "reduces your chance to be hit or crit' by such a tiny amount, though. I understand you were maxing out the tree, but I'm not sure what the measurable benefit is of doing so. It just seems like a lot of points for what will work out to be about 4.5% damage avoidance (if that.)

My build is built for endgame with survivability in World pve/pvp. Neither yours nor my build is better. Again, its preference and playstyle. I am willing to bet my build vs. your build would perform on the same level, in the same gear on the same content.
