    Default Rogue Souls

Now I completely understand that these questions have been asked before but unfortunate I cant decide which I should play, because I am playing a Marksman right now and I do love it but I'm curious do Melee Rogues pull ahead in damage a little bit more than Ranged Rogues?

And If so..Could I inquire what spec is pulling ahead? I would like to give it a try if its my kind of style (I use to main rogue in wow so not sure if that counts).

And I want to know kind of what spec(souls) for ranged (since its what I'm playing now) pull ahead. Because I know if you do something silly like Bard, Stalker and Marksman souls, it probably wont pull that damage you'd hope for.

If I could get some help with my Noob questions I would be really appreciative!

38/38 NB/Sin is pretty much the go-to spec for melee.

    There's a guide here.

    PvP or PvE?

For PvE the 5 specs you should carry for endgame content are

    1. 38 NB/ 38 Sin (highest st dps, but requires melee)
    2. 61 MM/ 11 Range/ 4 NB (highest ranged st dps)
    3. 54 sab/11MM/11 Ranger (ranged aoe for trash packs)
    4. 61 Bard/11MM/4 NB (support spec for raids)
    5. 44 phys/ 32 tact (aoe healing)

So no need for a tanking build endgame?

Good to have, typically not compulsory.

For faster dungeon ques, tanking is optimal with heals coming in a close second. As for the raid setting, since most encounters require 1-2 tanks and at most 3, guilds usually have that roster spot filled. It is very rare to enter a guild as a main tank, and therefore I do not put as much emphasis on tanking for new endgame players.
