Default precise crit power number to go for?

i would like to know what the exact personal crit power number is to go for without all raid buffs,
given that sigils were introduced it changed a bit i guess.

3133 seems to be the soft cap give or take a few points maybe, so accounting for feast and sigil, 2998

40% cp is actually around 3120.

    subtract 45 for feasts = 3075

subtract 60 for banner = 3015. but if you use sigils then it's 3075/1.03~=2985

Is it effective to reach 45% Crit Power in MM since we have the +5% buff? I am at 42% now and still not 3k in stat numbers.

Soul Tree bonuses do not count towards the cap. Either subtract them or just switch to a role that doesn't have it.

The exact number would have to be dug out of the game files by a dev and from what I understand that isnt very easy to do. 3133 is the number I use aswell but it could be a few points more or a few less

I've been capped for a little while now, trying to add more AP without taking away CP. I realized that it is incredibly difficult to stay at that number once you get it, so the best way to go about it is to stay within a range. When changing gear I try to stay between 3050 and 3150. Anything more than that and you're likely to go over with a feast.

After the long, arduous task of calculating and recalculating the numbers with various CP values from countless combinations of CP pieces being equipped and reequipped, 3124 seems to be the sweet spot for the soft cap. So, 3133 wasn't that far off.

How much did you have to change to go above or below that sweet spot? And when I hit 65, I asked and was told it was 3125, so it's kind of funny that it came out so close to what was said on release day.

precise crit power number to go for?-2015-03-10_170428-2-.jpg[IMG]

Ah, yeah seems I was wrong about 3133, been a while since I was looking for the exact number, resetting PA and with a few random items, I managed to get exactly 3124, sadly couldn't get 3123 to test that

3133 it doesnt give the same % in different specs.

I have 2662 crit power right now, with gives
    25,30 % in marksman
    30,30 % in assasin
    44,10 % in ranger

So when you guys says get like 40*% then what spec are you taking about
if i get 40 % in marksman then ill have like 60% in ranger hehe

Certain specs add %age crit power onto your base %age through talents/buffs. These talents/buffs allow one to surpass the CP soft cap once it's reached, but when you are calculating for soft cap you need to use a 0/0/0 spec, or just one with no CP talents.

**** then i have a long way to go
Hard to get the good crit gear since most of it comes from pvp, and i dont pvp.
I freaking hate that pve gear drops in pvp.

    Change that trion
pvp gear from pvp and pve from raids please

    @ 3121, CP capped.

2985 is what you should shoot for [+ sigils & feast ]

Going over the CP cap, if you have to compensate for +Str/+Crit gains is worth it rather than meeting the CP Cap by using weird shenanigans (such as PVP items).
