Default Does wep speed effect our dps

    Hello, New player here.
I'm wondering does weapon speed effect our dps. Like in DAOC you would want a slow
right hand weapon and then a fast left hand, to get the best over all dps.
    Thanks for any positive replies.

Weapon dps is big for rogues it scales all of our abilities. Weapon speed just ignore.

Abilities scale based on Weapon DPS, weapon speed means nothing.

It used to, as it affected autoattack dps and your odds of getting more procs (from poisons and gear alike)

Then they thought it was too complicated (or difficult to balance, one or the other) and homogenized it across the board.

Is there a difference? Strictly speaking yes. But its so small that its pretty much nil and doesn't warrant any consideration whatsoever.
So long, and thanks for all the fish~

From what I understand form most mmo's (not sure if it applies here) Weapon speed doesn't make any difference from our side of things because it is already factored into the DPS of the weapon itself, notice on a weapon you will have three damage stats; DPS, weapon speed and damage range, the DPS number is the result of an equation between the damage range and weapon speed giving you an average damage per second total, the only other effect it could have is possibly more crits and procs as you're swinging more, but I think they got rid of that.

Edit: NVM global cooldown is same no matter what wep and poison proc's from abilities. My bad.
