Default Which rogue melee build for solo questing?

I like ranger so far on one shard, but rolling on another with a friend and want to try melee.

Looking at a good mix of damage/survival

Mostly going to be questing/crafting/gathering on them. Some dungeons for quests and stuff, but mostly solo when the friend isn't online (they got a level 60 already so mostly catching them on alts till I get up there)

    This is pretty popular

In general, you can choose any of the melee souls you want as a main soul, but put 4 into tactician for Curative Engine and 8 into riftstalker for Boosted Recovery

    bd/rs/tac

ranger is tempting because you can use a raid spec you already have just by switching from the raptor to the pig and drop twin shot b0mbs on mobs for nearly their entire health but it's much more efficient to bunch mobs up and cleave them with bd/rs/tac.

and the much bigger problem is that ranger has garbage utility, survivability and aoe and you can get killed just by getting knocked off your mount and having to deal with 3 or 4 mobs at once. it's a specialist even in raids and really has no place in solo.

(OK, I do go ranger if I do that steppes daily with the harpies since they're spread out use ranged attacks but that's it)

seems to be a good one, just reviewed the guide thread and realized a minor snafu in where to put a few points early on. (need a bit more in rs)

But so far liking it, and thinking of taking a second slot for a ranged build (keeping the RS 8 tac 4 secondaries)

oh, you didn't say what level you are

if you're <50 then use granpa's up to ~50, bladedancer is a mess if you don't have enough points in it.

still in freemarch, around 18th or so.

So got a way to go, working on getting riftstalker up to 8pts before going back to nightblade

On the ranged build looking at ranger, get a pet and keep the RS/Tac bonuses to help with survial
