    Default Sinly Sniper

I'm sure people have tried this before, but I haven't found a guide/video yet.

How fun is this to play at lvl 60? I'm still levelling up my Rogue and apart from tanking instances I love stabbing people from stealth in warfronts (lvl 40 at the moment). How good/fun it is to play this at lvl 60?

I'm hoping to destroy carriers/healers with this build and to bail out with Slip Away if it's getting too hot! 35% extra damage when you come out of stealth with a good amount of crits sounds like fun.

    Let me know please!

Oh and if you apply poisons. Do they work when you shoot? Or do poisons only work from melee attacks?

The DPS is going to be atrociously low. Marksman and Assassin do not synergize well-- they both need to use finishers from within their own souls and their weapon enchants can't be used at the same time.

Also, it's worth noting that in that build, you're missing all of Assassin's most valuable abilities and most of Marksman's.

And yes, poisons can proc from ranged attacks, but you should be using Marksman Munitions instead if you're using Marksman.

The question is what is your goal? If your goal is to have a permastealth marksman, then you shouldn't go beyond 21sin. If your goal is to combine a ranged and melee playstyle you will be better off using nightblade

Okay. I had another look at the build. What I want to achieve is a ranged build that hits and runs. I want to use stealth and focus on single target damage. What I enjoy most is capping flags/nodes and protecting these points.

    http://www.rifthead.com/stc/zMMAwl0q...vVexdoMhzhbVqz

-I've abandoned Marksman as Ranger focuses more on physical damage and fits better with Assassin.
-No more 'From Stealth Attack' points because the idea is to attack from ranged not melee.

The self buffs are Feral Instincts, Leeching Poison and Lethal Poison.
It is very mobile with Quick Shot, Splinter Shot, Head Shot, Piercing Shot, Ace Shot and Shadow Fire all being instant.

    My main macro would be:
    #show Quick Shot
    suppressmacrofailures
    petattack
    cast Expose Weakness
    cast Shadow Fire
    cast Piercing Shot
    cast Quick Shot

You'll have to maintain the debuff of Splinter Shot and Ace Shot and hammer those Head Shots in on separate key binds.

When it comes to defenses, you've got another Escape Artist, Diffuse, On the Double and of course Slip Away to safely... um ...slip away.

I'm still not 60 yet (45 atm) but I hope to get there soon!
Let me know if this build is any better.

Highest possible damage build with as many actives as I could fit (just no Bull's Eye). Remove some for damage increasing passives if you want. I don't think a ranger variant will work better.

From my test on Meridian dummy with T1 test gear, it's around 85% sustained and 65% / 55% of burst, depending on if you line up for double FR. The differences will be greater for PvP due to PvP restrictions on StK.

The ranger variant is horrible. It's damage is abysmal without pet. With pet it's still lower damage than the MM version with less utility and burst and starves 40s into the fight. Furthermore what's the point of stealth if you're gonna drag a pet around?

I think the only successful "sinly" ranged spec would be a sab/sin, except you go 2 points into Silent Footsteps and Improved Stealth instead of a damage passive.

Could take 1 out of poison mastery and get Bulls eye also. Since youre running mm buffs not sin poisons a guaranteed crit is always nice in those "Oh **** i need a big crit" moment. And whatever third soul gives you the better buff. bard for motif of bravery or bd for sidesteps are nice..

I just converted my Sin Ranger into a sin MM, and I'll say this.. 31 assassin is horrible.

Here is what I'm running, and so far, it's doing pretty decent: http://www.rifthead.com/stc/zMMAwl0V...vloqkqkIbdhqxk

Also, after testing the different MM/Sin weapon buffs, the MM buffs provide more dps. (Rending + Silver Tip)

Id get rid of ranger soul for something more usefull and spend that 1 pt on bullseye or LnL. its a nice damage spike with a 5 pt finished and a guaranteed crit or a possible insta-cast empowered shot. wish the perma stealth was at 20 pts so i could have both.

    Try something like this. http://www.rifthead.com/stc/zMMwVx0qs0xozvlRVoqkAdd0qtz

Slip away is useless without hidden veil, a dot will pop it. You get permastealth and also some cc with foul play, blinding powder and sidesteps. Also both bullseye and LnL. Swift shot already incs your speed by 15 and hasty departure removes/makes invu to roots for a quick getaway. So hasty departure isnt needed to badly.
Personally I like static shock and either rending or silver tip. but since this one doesnt have static shock., choose whichever. Alot of ppl run vampiric but id rather have a bigger inc my damage output than a bit of healing. Though any healing in a solo spec can be a godsend.

Huh? 1 pt in ranger for no reason, 0 pt in Lock N Load, Full Metal Jacket. The skills you gained from additional points in MM are all AoEs which is not what people use MM for, at least for the stealth kind.

I'll try testing a proper version of that build and see what's the DPS increase from Silver Tip Munitions over the sin poisons.

(T1 Raid Gear on lvl 50 Elite, since this build should not be used in a raid setting)

    31 sin: http://i.imgur.com/KYnSCaC.jpg

    21 sin: http://i.imgur.com/o8k2wmY.jpg

Same DPS but the 21 sin version loses Enduring Brew, Foul Play and Slip Away, while gaining Crossfire, Bull's Eye, Static Shot and Planebound Resilience (and some tankiness from RS gift).

Edit: I didn't use DES because I think it'll not be a huge DPS increase for the loss of mobility, which is important to preserve a "sinly" feel, but more importantly, you'll get eaten up in no time if you stood at one spot.
