Default Best Rogue Starter Items from Item Shop

    Hey there!

Next view days im going to hit 60 (ok tooks a long time - but i have a real life, too). I just wonder what items from the item shop would be the best for start..(belt an helmet will be crafted)

I'd consider going for gloves, as you can't get crafted ones past level 53 or 54, and they're one of the item slots that carries the all-important +Hit stat that you'll need to enterexpert dungeons and raids.

I'm no rogue expert but I'd suggest running the chronicles for easy gear to get you going and then experts.

If you are hell bent on buying stuff. You can buy a full set of dungeon or raid gear although it's not cheap and maybe a weapon although I would not suggest it really.

Buying other useful things like bag slots, trade skills, maybe the big bags at a push would give you better bang for your money

Crafted gear is extremely potent, look at crafting the following pieces (prices without augment are less than 30p each):
    Helmet (53hit) http://rift.magelo.com/en/item/B6C9A...-Truehide-Hood
    Ring x2 (53hit x2) http://rift.magelo.com/en/recipe/100...hrysoprase-Eye
    Neck (40 hit) http://rift.magelo.com/en/recipe/-87...soprase-Lariat
    Belt http://rift.magelo.com/en/item/B9C9A...-Truehide-Belt
    Weapons x2 (40hit x2) http://rift.magelo.com/en/recipe/-85...Rhenium-Dagger
Ranged (40 hit, warrior weapon, works for rogues) http://rift.magelo.com/en/recipe/-26...drosa-Shortbow

This bring you at a total of 319 hit without spending a dime, meaning you can enter experts. Remember to rune your gear with at least the basic runes (Gleaming) as they provide a big boost. If you want ot buy something, buy the gloves and hope that you get drops form experts for neck or weapons to get to 400 hit and be raid ready in a day. WIth 53 gloves you will be sitting at 372 hit, add 3 pieces upgraded with 13 hit (neck or any 3 weapon slot) and you're done.

Don't also neglect your source machine and seal, I wouldn't recommend spending money on them unless you really don't have time to get infinity stones.

For affording the crafted gear, if you are not against it, buy a REX and sell it in the trade chat so you can purchase the crafting materials. Also doing a full set of dailies is around 100-150 plat income if you choose them wisely and sell everything what drops.

If you're looking to spend money, you're probably better off with purchasing some Patron time, and using the daily token boosts on daily quests and expert dungeon completion rewards. The extra infinity stones/expert marks will let you gear up more quickly. As an added bonus, you'll have some experience/reputation boosts that will let you get faster PA and notoriety.

    .
Good post. For the ranged weapon though, isn't the crafted warrior tank bow higher dps and 53 hit?

There is also some recently added gear dropping from Dendrome and the new chronicles that's worth checking the auction house for. This includes 53 hit gloves, and decent shoulders & expert dungeon equiv tank pieces.
