Yes yes, I know the spec is getting nerfed soon and this will all change. I prefer to live in the moment and actually get some use out of the $20 I spent to use this soul before they gut it.

Does this look right? Keep in mind that this is entirely focused on damage output and not the least bit focused on support. This is the kind of spec I want to bring to a group doing a rift or doing some world event or something and just dominate the DPS meters as much as I possibly can. Everything else is both secondary and irrelevant.

    It is this:

However, the spec isnt going to be nerfed that much..its just a change in playstyle to achiev the same goal..

this spec still will be superior for many encounters where sab can't do anything without extra add managment...e.g. Matriarch

    This is it..
Why no points spent in enhanced necrotic torrent?

And why restorative engine over necrotic ray? From a pure DPS perspective (i.e. if you're using a build that maximizes DPS and gives no consideration to buffing the raid), that seems like an incorrect choice.

Restorative engine means you will heal the raid when you're using Empyrean Bolt. In a raid situation these heals will always have at least one crit, which gives you energy in return. Below 30% you'll be spamming Necrotic Bolt and not Necrotic Torrents.

Restorative engine is for the crit heals energy regen. Should also be dropping curative core when you don't have power core down for the same reason.

I personally run the 44/32 varient, where I get necrotic ray and torrent in mine. What I end up using in the sub-30% phase is dependant on my job and the encounter. If I'm focused on ST damage, then I'm switching to necrotic engine and spamming bolt/IB. But if I'm still focused on AoE damage (ie. trash packs, matriarch adds, etc.) then I'm letting necro-torrent go 5 times between primers. Something to be said for 12K crit ticks x 3 per GCD.
