Vampiric Essence on Two Weapons

I've been under the impression that it grants 2 rolls of 20% chance each to proc. Vaguely recall seeing 2 ticks of the heal with identical amounts.

No real empirical testing, though. Grain of salt, etc.

proc runes, back when they were around and used, worked from both main hand and off hand weapons when you're shooting with a ranged weapon.

I'd test it, but the only real application where this would even matter would be to try and solo the Extermination 5 man dailys... /lazy

2 chances at 20% for each attack, this does not turn it into a 40% chance, but it's better than only having on one hand.

Marksman will provide double-ticks of equal size from ES/SS/HS quite often so it won't take long until you see a double heal.

Double Vampiric + sabo + anti-planar + 40 angry invasions stacked on top of a foothold = lovely heals.

when Im soloing and apply it to both weapons this is how I see it working.

it rolls 20% once, and if it hits I get healed twice for the same amount. I never see it heal me once when applied to both weapons.

not sure if that is intended, but that appears to be how it works for me.

Thank you for all of your replies. I tried googling it, and had no luck, and given the varied opinions of even frequent posters on the forums, it sounded like it was a good question. It sounds like it has been answered. It is either:

2 heals if it rolls a proc.
1-2 heals, and rolls twice for a proc.

This is correct, unfortunately it does not proc with Tact's torrents.

It was specifically disabled for torrents =P

Was quite hilarious when it did proc things, especially when you had aoe dmg procs.
