    Default Rogue BiS

    http://www.rift-hero.com/roguegear/#

    or

    http://www.riftscene.com/database/we...tor/rogue_dps/

    Which one would you recommend?

2nd question: I'm looking for a good soloing AoE spec which is easy to play, just for questing and farming a bit. Any recommendations?

    regards

Calculate your stat weights and take whichever site you prefer.

For solo farming and stuff, do Bladedancer or Tactician

Write numbers and stat names on pieces of confetti, shake well, and throw them on the ground. However they land, that's your stat weight :P

In truth, there's a ton of complicated math that goes into creating stat weight. The basic premise is "Given spec X, and having current character stats Y with gear Z, how much does gear piece A increase my DPS vs. piece B".

Note the part highlighted, which is my problem with any static weighting sheet. This used to be far easier in the pre-1.11 days, when you could assume a person had reached crit-cap, and you only needed to consider which piece now gives the most AP. Now, we have 3 difference DPS stats, which all affect each other, none of which can be capped, and their relative values change depending on how much of one you have vs. another.

The best you can do is use Archyfaces calculation worksheet. But you'll be constantly in flux as you change your base stats as your gear changes.

Which are those? Attack power, crit power and DPS of the weapon(s)?

Also, what is the crit cap now?

Okay, my fault, there's 4 stats: Weapon Damage, Attack Power, Physical Crit, and Crit Power. As for what the crit-cap is, I'm not sure. I'm assuming it's still 45%, but not sure what physical crit number that supplies that. However, I'm pretty sure it's high enough that we can't reach it with the current gear available.

Weapon DPS is so good (if its a weapon you actively use, ranged for ranged specs and melee for melee specs) that you don't weight it in any sense, you simply equip the highest piece you have.

The soft/hard caps are the same as they've always been.

Getting there isn't gonna happen unless you try really really hard to stack crit everywhere, and even then... with raid buffs, you probably aren't going to hit it.

Currently, there's effectively no cap on crit, since you can't reach it.

Crit power, though, tops off at a hard cap of 40% bonus dmg.
So long, and thanks for all the fish~

Weapon damage isn't taken into consideration because its been normalized by tier ages ago.

Higher tier weapon > lower tier weapon. The end.

I don't know much about Rogue/Warrior DPS weightings so this is an honest question - does that still apply if it's a tanking weapon?

... and before someone decides to be a smartass and bring it up as a "But!"

No, it doesn't apply to cleric tanking weapons, if for whatever reason you picked one up and tried to use it to dps with.

I actually don't even know why caster weapons have dps ratings anymore, as all of their skills and abilities have been detached from weapon dps.
