    Default Tactician question

Are the tactician skills considered spells? Should i be stacking dex or int?

It doesn't matter if they are spells (they aren't), all rogue abilities use attack power not spellpower.

No rogue abilities are considered spells so you never need INT for anything. Even though Bard can be silenced their abilities are shouts not spells.

If you take a read through the stats screen tooltips you'll see that Attack Power, which Rogues get from DEX (and a smaller amount from STR) increases the damage of "Martial Specialists" attacks. Whilst Spell Power is for "Spellcasters".

Basically Rift groups the Callings a bit here. Martial Specialists being Rogues and Warriors and Spellcasters being Clerics and Mages. They use AP and SP respectively regardless of whether or not the ability seems like a spell attack or physical strike.

Bard abilities are considered spells for all intents and purposes They're silencable, interruptable, and damaging bard abilities procs trinkets that trigger on spell-damage, etc. Disarming a bard does nothing, silencing them prevents them from doing anything.

But they still work off of physical combat stats.

As much as I love my bard, you're wrong on a key point. Bards can be both silenced and disarmed.

    WHERE, WHERE?!

Though, it did make a difference back in the pre-SL days. Could load up a bard with all sorts of cleric/mage heal proc items and have them all proc with invigorating spirit / other bard heals.

Spell Damage procs worked too, but those sucked.

    Not so much now though.

No they are categorized as shouts. If you really want I can dig our Ailions post where he spells it out (pun intended) directly.

They are a classification of skill called a shout. The similarities in properties to spells is irrelevant.
