    Default Rogue Buffs

    Did rogues really just get a buff?
    PvP is going to be a massacre.
    I came for the raids, ended up spending all of my time (and plat) on Dimensions

    Well at least they nerfed Riftstalker since it was giving so much damage paired with a lot of mitigation that it made them hard to kill without losing much in terms of damage. So now they are....

    /no riftstalker change

    When I saw the wall of 'damaged increased' changes, I got happy thinking warriors finally got buffed!

    ...... then realised I was reading the rogue section

    Warriors did actually get buffed, just still a bit buggy

    Ok so in this patch...

    Warrior melee got a buff
    Mage melee got a buff
    Cleric melee got a buff

    And you think it would have made sense to leave rogue melee where it was?

    There are a coupla specs that need toning down a little but i leaving rogues behind the rest of the games melee classes wouldnt have been a viable option.

    The problem isn't assassin dps, that was lacking somewhat and is now much better, it is their burst damage that they can do that causes the pvp problems. The only problem with fixing it for pvp is that they would have to nerf the burst damage which will make two things happen, 1) it will screw over their long-term dps and 2) it will ruin the assassin playstyle.

    If you want to fix assassin, as well as every other high burst/damage spec in the game for pvp, you are going to have to nerf all damage by a hefty amount. Let's face it, overall damage is insanely high right now compared to healing.

    Read the specs and actual abilities that got buffed.
    Figure out where they lie and how many point specs it takes to use buffed abilities.
    Realize the souls that are the big threats in pvp and what souls were buffed.
    Open your mouth and insert foot.

    The only one anyone can legitimately fuss about is maybe Assassin, as they were already quite potent. But even so, the major bumps done to assassin are for strong/pure assassin builds, not hybrids. Jagged Strike is the only sin ability that is fairly low that got buffed and didn't seem to need it. Assassinate was a terrible ability in PvP.

    You guys need to read the article and comprehend everything an article says before screaming bloody murder at the headlines.

    This sounds like a PvP-specific issue with burst damage. They should make a forum for that kinda thing.

    Also, people should create 500 threads on this topic there and get 498 of them locked.
