Default Bard - silence fail PVP

Bard was changed with 1.11 and your attacks no longer count as magical attacks, but instead ranged attacks. So why is it that you can get silenced while using cadence/cadenza? And not only once, no, you don't even get immune to the silence! One marksman can literally deaden you for ages. Fix please!

Silencing stops sound-based effects, not just spells. Bard abilities qualify, even if they're not magical.

I don't mind being silenced every now and than. All in all that's how it's always been when barding.
BUT. With the changes to bard attacks being ranged attacks (sound based is no type of attack... magical - physical - ranged physical) you should actually not be silenced, you don't get silenced from Jornaru's bubbles as bard anymore and Drak's first add is not healed by your attacks.

Anyway. It's not like you get silenced once and then you are ok for a few seconds, you can get silenced non stop. No immunity, nothing.

They were never 'magical attacks', they were melee OR ranged attacks. Now it simply just relies on ranged. No reason at all silencing of the bard would change. It was just dumb souls like Bard and Sab received a higher damage output if it was based on their ranged weapon, which bottlenecked the soul specs into including a limited amount of souls that ensured they calculated using the ranged weapon. Now the souls are just smart enough on their own to know to use ranged. Before it required melee or ranged. So indeed, no reason bard silencing would change at all, they have always counted as spells that can be silenced.

That being said, if silence isn't going on DR, then that's a bug.

I have the same problem on my mage. I get back to back silenced without DR.
