    Default 1.11 Sab Rotaion Debate !

    Ok since no one started the argument about 1.11 sab and the the best rotation to get the max AOE dps it can offer im going to start one .
    First forget about the super lazy guide that some others been talking about , am talking about the way you deal with all the charges/bombs/cool downs
    as for me am using one similar to pre 1.11 sab with addition of Splinter Bomb and ember bomb and alwya explode charges with detonate cuz i skiped points in Demolition Specialist and Combined arms for Mass Destruction and Combined Arms ofc using Cloud Maker on CD .
    So whats the other ppl do in term of spending points/rotations etc , lets find way to the max aoe dps of it

    time bomb looks like a dps loss now. so don't put points into that and use the old 5 charges to anni/det then spam the macro 3 times then chemical bomb. doing that will rotate both debuff bombs and offer the most dps

    Time bomb still deals more damage than either of the debuff bombs. I would agree if it didn't trigger HE, as the debuff bombs do.

    Spec all the things that do the most damage with the abilities you are going to use and time the biggest boom for the biggest potential known crowds you will be damaging against. The rest is reading the tool tips. No really, this is all there is to max aoe dps. It is mostly a timing thing more than rotation.

    I could get flamed for this but I've been playing with this build:

    ticking time bomb

    The reason I used 8nb was for hellfire and the rest in sin for virulent poison. I also coat my ranged weapon with poison. All three of these constantly tick while I'm blowing **** up. I've been using this for HK trash clearing and general mega-big pulls (like the bog trash in PF). With 2 other sabs in HK I was doing more dmg and wasn't as spiky. Very consistent #s.

    I use the old sab rotation. Personally I like time bomb because I can manage to attach bombs to several mobs as needed while keeping up chemical bomb and cloud maker. So yeah, that's my story.

    One thing I have taken out is silent setup, as with the changes with combo points, and rapid setup, its just not good enough. What do you think?

    Been using the same ish rotation and its been fine haven't really sat down to tweak it since it is performing good, I have been using TB tho, curious to know if it is an actual dps loss.

    I went with this build:

    http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1M...Vkgxk.x0V.x.-9

    As I've come to see in Mayi's guide (read explanations there), all bombs are higher damage than your charges.

    If you have 8 Targets, more bombs mean faster 3 stacks of high explosives on all targets, and if you have 8+ targets, High Explosives is the only thing that lets you hit more than 8 targets, because each bomb has a chance to hit another set of mobs, and again, more bombs mean more stacks of HE on more targets.

    ST:
    5x Spike -> Detonate -> 4 Bombs (Time/Fragmentation/Ember/Splinter) -> Chemical Bomb

    AoE:
    5x Caltrop -> 4 Bombs (Time/Fragmentation/Ember/Splinter) -> Chemical Bomb

    For the CDs:

    Carpet Bombing + Rapid Setup:
    5x ST or AoE DoT Charges -> Cloudmaker -> Annihilation Bomb -> 4 Bombs -> Chemical Bomb -> Rapid setup -> Carpet Bombing -> 4x Annihilation Bomb -> 1x ST or AoE Dot Charges -> Cloudmaker -> 4 Bombs -> Chemical Bomb -> Normal Rotation

    I use Rapid Setup and apply the later in the rotation because I don't have silent setup and use Rapid setup to start attacking the mobs.

    Rapid Setup:
    Coming from Normal rotation:
    ST:
    Cloud Maker -> Annihilation Bomb -> Rapid Setup -> 1x Spike Charge -> Bombs -> Chemical Bomb

    AoE:
    Booby Trap -> Cloud Maker -> Annihilation Bomb -> Rapid Setup -> 1x Caltrop Charge -> Bombs -> Chemical Bomb

    No Detonate because else you clip the bleed. Booby Trap on AoE because I'm not using Detonate in the AoE Rotation and need something to lengthen the rotation by 1GCD. Laying the trap is exactly one GCD and it's about 3 times as much damage as a single shrapnel charge.

    Oh yeah, don't forget to turn on your ranged traps buff ;)

    I sometimes do vary my rotation depending on the fight and if there's adds coming in. But, this is the "standard" when there's nothing coming up I need to take into account.

    Dont suppose you could make that any more confusing could you? lol. Per chance do you have that rotaion set up in macro's or do you just do it on the fly?

    Only the 4 bombs are in a macro, everything else is separate. And then there's the incriminate macro, but those are the only two.

    And, I'm not sure I could write it down easier

    For pvp...I start out with a cloud maker rotation and end off with FB. And then save or use AB/CB/ABx4 to finish the tank off that I usually use as an initial anchor. I can usually find one in every mix
