    Default Tactician Reveal feedback

In my opinion I was disappointed with the Tactician reveal. I was expecting more of a bad *** soul. The spell effects for each channeled ability I seen was a let down. They look like spell effects were just pasted there to show how it works.

I would like to see the spell effects show the radius and distance they cover accurately. This is just what I think should be done.

Did you enjoy the Tactician reveal or were you disappointed as well?

I was in no way dissapointed by the Tactician itself. It's an effective melee aoe class that synergizes well with all of the other rogue souls while still having an identity for itself.

As for the reveal itself, I was very dissapointed with how it was presented. I feel as though the choice to reveal the soul using the beta shard was distracting and ended up making the whole interview feel less effective at presenting the new information.

I feel as though the soul should have been presented in an instanced areas as the last two have, giving the player a controlled environment to demonstrate the new skills and role differences. I feel as though very little about the rogue souls beyond the tactician were shown or discussed to any result. Compared to the warrior and mage reveal, where full soul trees were shown, abilities were moused over to give us a taste of some of the numbers, and large class changes were actually shown and not just talked about.

I know that the beta shard is open and many players are able to see the new classes in full, but there are still those of us who watch these reveals in order to get a feel for what we will be purchasing with SL.

On another important note, energy concerns were not discussed in even the slightest bit despite a barrage of questions from the chat, and a definite mentioning on the dedicated question thread here on the boards.

    --------
TL;DR: Dissapointed with the new format, wish more information was actually given about the class as a whole.

I thought the Tactician was fine. I do think it would have been much better reveal if those beta players were not there to interfere. I do hope the cleric reveal does not happen on the beta server.

I agree that there were some distractions that took away from the reveal some (duel/guild/group invites etc) but the energy concerns were addressed the last couple of minutes. They said as long as you are doing single target attacks you will be fine and even when using aoe attacks it still takes ~16ish seconds to be energy starved.

I think I'm a little more excited about the change to combo points for some reason. Staying with the rogue instead of the target can be useful in so many ways.

Tactician itself, I probably would only use it with bard... seeing as how my old brain can't seem to get the Sabo aoe rotation down I'd probably just frustrate myself with it. I'm sure it will be quite the addition to other souls as well.

Im surprised no one asked to look at the Soul Trees in detail like they did in the Tempest reveal. That part was a huge disappoint for me. Despite that though, I like the changes...

And yes, they DID mention changes to energy...

I like how different Tactician is, it took me by surprise. The way it uses the flamethower type weapon and makes use of how you need to face your target to dps/heal and such is going to be fun, very refreshing. Not some bad *** dps like harbringer but I'm satisfied .. for now. :l

Well to give them at least some benefit of the doubt... they didn't have to deal with all the Justin Bieber fanbois during the tempest reveal. I foresee the Cleric reveal happening in a place or time that allows for less public irritation

Didn't see the reveal. Someone got a bullet point summary of the elements revealed? I need to bounce for the night but I'd rather read a list than watch a video in the AM.

    - combo points stay on you and not your target
    - tactician is an aoe frontal cone specialist class (healing and damage), heavily reliant on your positioning and facing
    - energy is better
    - sab 61 point ability is them throwing molotov cocktails
    - people go crazy when they see a dev on pts and enjoy trying to dance with them, sending them marriage proposals, sending them guild invites and trying to duel them even though they're invincible.
I rite a gooded guide for rouges.

Combo points stay on target - very little change in functionality and actually worse for soloing now that rift scavenger is gone

Tactician is aoe frontal cone specialist class - Situation and dependent on positioning. This means more limitations on raid encounters and potentially like our current top single target dps spec which is inneffective for a large amount of encounters. They showed that it won't "miss" when moving ,but I havn't gotten to play with it in game.

Energy is better - still energy starved. WTF

Sab 61 pt ability is molotov coctail - damage seemed significantly less than anihilation bomb and has long cool down. I'm glad they got this damage in a line tech ,but it looked like it did very little damage for a 61 pt ability.

People annoy devs on beta server - Who would of though people would troll a class reveal?

I'm actually hoping that Riftstalker mobility will be toned down a bit to make way for a little bit more utility. They mentioned that Shadow Warp was removed, which is interesting. And not really a big loss, considering that Riftstalker mobility is already overkill.

You people that complain about Energy starving make no sense. If you didn't run out of energy after using off global CD abilities, AoE abilities, and burst abilities, then what the hell is the point of having energy? If you can do everything possible and never be energy starved, then get rid of energy and just let rogues do everything without a cost. I think it's justifiable in some situations that you will run out of energy.
If I'm a warrior, even with Grim Satisfaction, if I AoE and use abilities that are off the global CD like Flesh Rip and Frenzied Strike, I run out of power. And it MAKES SENSE!
